Here is mine, what is yours?

Overall: C+
Filled some needs, good pretty good value for pick but I thought they could've done better by trading down in the first and possibly the second and up in some of the other rounds. If Tyron Smith becomes a really good LT and Murray produces this could be a good class. No trades?!?! ***?!? Someone check Jerry's pulse.

1st Pick: T Tyron Smith: C
I just didn't see a ton of difference between the top few Ts. I think Smith would've lasted several more picks and I would've definitely taken the extra one or two picks and Carimi. However, if Smith pans out as a LT, this is a great pick. Big IF though.

2nd Pick: LB Bruce Carter: C
Great player with medical issues. Once again, I think we could've traded down a bit and still got him. Decent value for pick. If he's good to go for TC and plays to what he was before, this will be a good pick. If he can move inside and upgrade over BJ, then GREAT pick. If he just ends up as a nickel guy....wasted pick.

3rd pick: RB Demarco Murray: A-
The only reason this isn't an A+ is because I don't see how he's going to fit in. Seems like a very similar player to Felix. Nonetheless, this kid is dynamite in space and value for pick was awesome. IMO, he was one of the most explosive players in the country last few years,....when healthy that is.

4th pick: G David Arkin: C
Applaud the effort to fill a giant glaring need at G. Don't know a lot about him but hear a lot of scouts loved him. Guards are usually cheap on draft day and considering we were looking for a slot WR, I would've preferred Gates or Shorts and taken Cannon later with a trade up.

5th pick: DB Joshua Thomas: D
Once again, applaud the effort to fill a need, however if the ex-Raiders CB isn't in the plans to sign along with FS Huff....then this is a sad effort to fill a need. Hope the kid can play STs. Seems like we have a tonage of project players as DBs....Church, AOA, McCann, Ball.....looks like a roster churning pick to borrow a Bill Parcells phrase.

6th pick: WR Dwayne Harris: B-
Not bad pick for value. Seen him play a bit, not bad. If he can play the slot effectively and/or as well as Crayton...he's a keeper.

7th pick: FB Shaun Capas: C
Applaud the effort, honestly have no idea how good a FB this guy is or will be. With all the RBs taken, will Choice be traded? If this guy can lead block and pick up 4th and 1 then its a big win.

Smith - A (right player, right time)
Carter - A- (worth the risk, will start soon)
Murray - C (injury history is worrisome, would rather have waited on RB)
Arkin - B (was hoping Boling would fall, but was a solid pick at a need position)
Thomas - B- (local kid who can contribute as depth, seems a bit small)
Harris - B (good slot guy, will fight Ogletree for a spot)
Chapas - B (some competition for Gronk)

Overall, I give it a B. I think that's a pretty solid grade to walk away with.

Steady C

The Murray pick dropped it a letter grade for me.

Obviously outside of hopefully Carter, a horrible defense got no help. Jerry has his work cut out for him in FA.

Smith A
Carter Inc
Murray D had greater needs and Felix already does what he does
Arkin C
Thomas C
Harris B
Chappas C

I suspect we'll sign a couple starters in free agency.

That said, the biggest improvement came by replacing Wade with Ryan.

We have alot of good players here, its not a team full of scrubs on defense.

I can dig that.

I'm more happy with the Murray pick cause i just feel it means we're finally going to stop wasting time with forcing Barber into the starting role cause of his contract.

I'll say a low grade B for this draft...just to keep from being overly high on it. I'm really happy with the 2 O-Line picks though. Really happy.

A-, and this is coming from a self-admitted pessimist

Our first two picks were outstanding. We got two top 20 talents, and assuming Carter comes back from his injury at the level he was before we got a couple great players.

Not a huge fan of the Murray pick, only because his health and durability will always be a concern

Our later picks filled needs and we didnt just go with "name" players like we so often do in the later rounds

A-

Tyron: A
Carter: A+
Murray: D Could have taken Rackley then Gates
Arkin: B- Think hes a starter but I want Davis gone nooooow
Thomas: B Good value, solid kid.
Dwayne Harris: B
Chapas: C+ Not sexy but they got a starter late

The Boys Scouting department got exactly WHAT we needed overall: A- Grade

Smith -> A+ (best athletic young OT in the DRAFT.....hands down!!!)
Carter -> A (speed speed speed......something we've lacked in the middle)
Murray -> A+ (stud RB with an extra gear like Felix but hands of gold!!!!!)
Arkin -> A+ (stud OG with a nasty streak with HUGE hands and power)
Thomas -> B- (special teams player of the year in College....)
Harris -> B+ (got Chris Johnson wiggle and toughness..awesome talent)
Chapas -> B (has got great hands and toughness; smart player)

Dont agree that the problems on D were mostly scheme and coach related. I could easily see five new starters. Nmamdi would help alot, I'm not as big on Huff as some, but he is better than we have now. A healthy Carter would help alot. FWIW Bunting said he did not think he was a good fit in this scheme.

i call this draft a C+. i am optimistic about this defense if we get huff.

How I have it graded mostly too.

:signmast:

Many are not taking this into consideration.

We gave Romo better protection and more weapons so our offense is going to be even better than before = scary.

Our LB's are probably the most athletic and speedy they've been in recent years, and it's a young group that can grow together.

Everything else is just gravy so giving us an A-.

With the usual caveats about early grades, this is a potential home run draft. No obvious wasted picks. I knew instantly 2009 would be terrible, but 2011 has the feel of a draft that lacks flash but addresses glaring needs with quality individuals.

I love both OL guys. I would have preferred Castonzo but there must be a reason he was there at 22. We got the number one offensive lineman in the draft! The Missou State guy I like, too. Probably not playing this year, but will be ready 2012.

We obviously needed Carter and Harris. Carter could be Jason Williams but if Rob Ryan likes him, that's enough for me. Harris is more likely Crayton than Skyler Green.

People either love or hate the Thomas pick. I hope he's not Jamar Wall.

Murray is the real head scratcher. Seemed too early to take a back. He's the player who could take this class from a B- to an A.

Not feeling it, seems like a C draft to me. Hopefully one or two of the 8 work out....

I give it a B. Smith is a pretty solid pick, Carter and Murray are situational picks with health concerns and Atkins seems like a pretty good chance to make it as a backup. Hopefully the bottom of the draft nets one good ST player.

IMO, if the #1 becomes the starter and is as good as most expect, and they get solid contribution from at least 2 more from this draft, and maybe a couple more good depth/ST I'll be happy.

C-, if Carter turns out ok then B. if he doesn't than F.

murray pick was unforgivable.

Will be interesting to see what the so called experts give us. But we did have the overall 9th pick in this draft with 8 picks. Because of that high a pick, anything less then an overall B- is a disaster.
