Heading into Eagles game I thought Lee was good but not that good. After watching film on Eagles game - It was easily Lee best game of his career. Just by looking at eagles alignment he had studied so much film he knew which play they were running. That part didn't surprise me. What did was his closing speed that was elite. This week we hear that his knee was wrapped but he isn't on injury report. In philly, they don't wish they had Romo, Dez or even wanted Murray. They guy they want is Lee.

Other notes:
* If Hitchens (at MIKE) and Wilbur (at SAM) continue to play at high level I am not convinced McClain has starting position when he gets back. Maybe he would be apart of rotation.
* Patmon has been better than Scandrick so far. Byron Jones has been very good covering TE. Both will be tested this week and we will have better gauge of how far along they are.
* OL needs to step up. Way too many penalties. Dallas brought in extra refs for practice this week to make sure their blocking habits are legal.
* Dunbar could be your offensive MVP over next 7 weeks.

Outside of Julio Jones, I don't really fear any of the Falcons receiving options. Jones should always be doubled. White can be handled one on one as well as Hankerson.

I agree about Dunbar. I always thought he was a waste of a roster spot, but he's been making me eat crow. Hopefully he keeps it up.

Hankersons kinda sneaky but there is no big play ability there.

Roddy is done.

We can shut this offense down imo and when Ryan heaves it into coverage like he did against the Giants we need to take the ball away.

• Lee has played elite football since he set foot in Dallas. Well, when he was on the field. He raises the Dallas D half a dozen notches on his own.
• I think Hitchens will be on the field, regardless. He'll be at SAM if/when RoMac returns to the lineup. Lee/McClain/Hitchens > Lee/Hitchens/Wilbur.
• I questioned when the team chose Patmon over Moore. I don't question anymore.
• OL had a bad game. They were due. This week and next I look for the team as a whole to start looking sharper.
• I don't know about MVP, but I love a RB who can run that deep wheel and actually catch the ball. I'd like to see Dunbar in the lineup more on first and second down. Need to run that pitch sweep more.
• Mo Claiborne and Brandon Carr are playing better as a duo than they ever have. Aikman said Sunday that Dallas is "primarily a press man team." Is this a change from recent years past?
• Ty Crawford is quietly playing some really nasty football. Need him to be hitting Ryan and Brees A LOT these next two weeks. Help is on the way.

the defense can play well the running game can improve by blocking better less flags special teams can also help but Brandon weeden has to be able to to be a competent qb running the offense he has to make plays this is a qb driven league he has to

Ryan reminds me a ton of Eli Manning the way he does that. Need to get in his face early and often.

Ryan is a good player but he is so overrated at the same time. He's a top 10 QB but barely.

I think cutting the penalties will fix the run game. I've been surprised and impressed by Randle's relentlessness.

They're definitely playing a lot more man. And it is a recent development.
It might be because of who we've played so far, but they have and the results have been pretty tremendous.

True I will say I think Eli ability to escape is greater than Ryan

Eli is strong and has really good pocket presence, yeah. Ryan, not as much. But they both like to lob the ball into coverage when they feel a little bit of pressure.

I agree with Catch on Ryan, but I'm not gonna say that before the game. Not that I'm superstitious or anything. :D

With Weeden at the helm, I think we're going to see what we have as far as our running game goes. We don't want him to put the ball up 45 times like Tony did against the Giants, I don't think, so Atlanta will be the test for our ground game. Time to pound that rock and see what happens.

I agree but I also think Dallas and Weeden will have to back the falcons off, Dan Quinn knows the situation Dallas is in and I'm sure he is going into this game geared on shutting the run game down. Only way I know of to back a team off the line is attack them through the air. If they give us 1 on 1 matchups Dallas will have to take it. I do agree running in this game will be important but I don't think we get much running wise unless we can back Alt off the line

I want to see the game plan give the ball excessively to the Bar Bros, Esco and Dun... let them do their thing. Also would like to see an early game deep completion to Butler to keep that secondary from creeping up on us. I'm not asking for too much, am I? Our defense will win this one for us, in the end.

I don't think so. I want Dallas and Weeden to play smart but I do not want them playing scared. If Dallas keeps everything around the line of scrimmage I think we play into what Alt is gearing up for.
This does not mean I want to see Dallas go pass happy but you got to make CB know that you will attack them down field if they are cheating up and if they bring safeties up towards the line Dallas must make them pay. You just can't play this game scared.

The thing is, McClain > Wilber and I'd even say McClain at MLB + Hitchens at SLB > Hitchens at MLB and Wilber at WLB
