Initial thoughts on the win

Gallup is struggling ... ACL recovery still in progress ..may take much of the year - if not all to return to previous form

zero catches

And run smart running plays. KM needs to rip out and toss the play sheets with the fancy reverses that seem to lose yards more often than gain them.
Either that, or at least use those plays to set up other plays with the same look.

The other problem with acquiring no WRs was the very real possibility it would take time for Gallup to get his feet under him and find his previous form.

When Washington went down, they should have brought in another WR.

Hopefullly Washington will be back soon.

TYler smith will have ups and downs the whole season,he was very raw but he has not sucked which is we can ask at this point.

Saw him on one play just stone Hutchinson . Dak was not under siege and on one sack someone closed a door on the mezzanine the wind draft caused Dak to fall no one touched him . 73 is a nice piece to this puzzle

Good defense and special teams.
Running game was good
KM with the poor play calling.

Why “ bring in another receiver “ when Gallup drops a pass hit him between the 1 & 3 and Tolbert is wasted on the sidelines your third rounder . Use the receivers that are already here.

Because Gallup clearly isn't himself yet coming off ACL. Tolbert is a rookie.

It was a miscalculation on the part of the Jones when Washington went down and they thought they had nice WR depth. They don't.

Turpin is on the brink of breaking for a TD ... he is the best punt returner in the entire NFL right now .... :D

- Dak got a bit sharper as the game wore on. Hopefully he rounds into some sort of form here in the next game.

- Williams is becoming a player as an edge player. T Smith has his struggles today and was up and down, but if he develops and Williams keeps progressing, we hit a HR with this draft.

- The WRs are frustrating at times. But then they come up with some big catches. Gallup had a big drop. I get flipping over but Brown can't fumble the ball in that spot. But then he had some key catches later and Lamb had a couple of nice grabs as well, including some in traffic.

- Any time a team needs a big third and long, they seem to go after Brown who is playing 17 miles off a guy.

- After a few games where we had penalties under control, they start to be creeping back.
After 2020 I have a low bar for replacement OT's. Im just happy that Smith isnt breaking the offense like Knight and Steele did. Chiefs went to two SB's and won one with an LT no one wants right now, so Smith at LT shouldnt derail our season

The second round linebacker Wilson. He’s almost as good as Parsons. I can’t believe he’s on our team

Washington is not the piece to this jigsaw puzzle . He was dinged at Pitt he’s dinged here . First series today Dak misses a wide open Brown . Later Brown fumbled at the 3 . Gallup drops a dart hits him in the chest Turpin was a WR at major college program who KM doesn’t seem to know what exactly he has and Tolbert a third rounder has had what maybe two targets all yr ?

Between the running game Schultz looking better today plus the rookie TE’s the receiver corp does not need Jerry trading draft choices after getting rid of # 19 for trinkets .

It seems to me on both sides of the ball, some players seem to get to comfortable with Dak back this week. You still have to try to play mistake-free football.

Defense is good but always seem out-flanked on sweeps, screens, and end arounds.

55 was exposed today and I know he recovers a fumble at the goal line but 42 is a one yr and done deal . I hope in the not too distant future the LSU Tigers Cox and Clark join Parsons Williams Diggs Armstrong and co and form the nucleus of a young force .

All the more reason why trading cooper or letting Wilson go in FA was dumb, Gallup got paid and is essentially playing at less than 100% mentally and or physically.

Turpin is a special teams guy. He's not a WR to count on.

Tolbert is a rookie and clearly struggling which is why he can barely get active. You seem to think he's a player that needs a chance. More likely he's a raw rookie that has to develop and counting on him to be a factor as a 3rd round rookie was a reach.
