The corner play is what’s killing them.

Joseph and Wright are either busts or need more time.

Barr is embarrassingly slow. I feel bad for him.

Defense was dominant before Hankins arrived. So this about Anthony Brown, Dorrance, and LVE mostly. The front office gambled on not addressing the DL and , as a result, we are paper thin there and at CB. Opposing offenses are plenty aware and simply scheme around the pass rush. Until we can stop the rpo, its going to be rough sledding and not a lot of sacks.

It's strange how other teams keep winning and they're dealing with injuries, but when it comes to the Boys the injuries make a great excuse for they're lousy ways.................

Yeah, some have the coaching to overcome it, others don't.
Bob even did an earlier post about how well the current HC did with his SB winning team in GB at overcoming injuries. Multiple injuries to starters it was too.

Could use some extreme coaching up of the current backups that's for sure.

As for me, I am not too optimistic that this staff can overcome these injuries much less anything else coaching related, lol.

And can we please stop the other teams screen plays and not bungle every screenplay we run?

SIGH:(

All teams have injury problems, but it is the Cowboys who fall apart with an injury or 2. Same every year.

Yesterday the Jags lost their 2 starting tackles. The replacements didn't give up a single sack!

Have missed significant playing time, or are out for the season.

It's nice to say next man up, but the above players were Starters because they were the best at their position.
To expect back ups to play at the same level is unreasonable.

The defense is in serious trouble with this loss of talent.

Quinn is a great coach but not a miracle worker.

Buckle up, the ride is about to get extremely bumpy.
Most teams running game are killing this defense all season prior to injuries.

As much as we don't like to admit it, you make an excellent point.

I don’t think Wright was bad. His size was noticeable and caused problems. Joseph can’t fall for a double move when you have a 17 point lead. That caused a chain reaction for the Jags.

Sure but there’s nothing that tells me that if Wright was put in Joseph’s spot he wouldn’t have gotten torched as well.

The point probably much more lies in the idea that those two picks were designed to replace Brown and Lewis but either cannot or aren’t ready.

The Cowboys went 4 and 1 with their backup qb. The Jags gave up a pressure that ended up with Lawrence fumbling in the last 2 minutes. The Jags went 3 and out in overtime.

The Cowboys lost Tyron Smith before they even played a game and they are 10 and 4. Winning 6 of their last 8 and winning 4 of their last 5 isn't falling apart. Falling apart is what the Rams did at 4 and 10. Falling apart is what the Titans are doing. Falling apart is what the Bucs are doing.

Injuries and players not stepping up have turned what had been one of the better defenses we’ve had in years into garbage.
