stanback dislocated his shoulder (i think its the same one he dislocated last year).Kosier may have a serious injury-he will have a MRI tommorrow-I think its serious judging from wade's tone.

Ouch.

Stanback's injury doesn't hurt much in the short term other than the return game, but does leave us dangerously thin at wide receiver. Kosier's injury certainly could hurt. I guess of all the linemen, he's the most replaceable; but still, he's sturdy.

Not good.

I hope Stanglass isn't our for long

I'm more concerned with Kosier. I didn't even see him get banged up. Anyone know when this injury happened? Where exactly is he hurt?

Kosier is very steady. I guess we will find out about Berger now.
Unless they decide to try McQ there.

I didn't know Kyle was even injured. CBS is horrible. I knew Stanback was hurt cause I watch him leave the field and CBS really ticked me off with that too cause they never mentioned it or even attempted to find out what was wrong with him.

Phil Simms is awful! I had to turn the volume off a couple of times I think... I really wish I had an online radio broadcast to listen to while watching on TV...:laugh2:

O-line was playing very well. I think the Kozier injury spells serious trouble. What a terrible preseason.

According to FWST, Kosier sprained his foot in the 4th quarter of the game; he left the stadium wearing a walking boot. Hopefully the MRI will show it's a sprain and not broken.

MRIs coming for Kyle Kosier, Isaiah Stanback

Tim MacMahon E-mail News tips

LG Kyle Kosier (right foot) and WR/KR Isaiah Stanback (left shoulder) will have MRIs done tomorrow to determine the severity of their injuries.

Kosier, who played the first possession of the fourth quarter along with C Andre Gurode and RG Leonard Davis, had a protective boot on his foot in the locker room.

Stanback's shoulder popped out of its socket while he was trying to recover his fumble on a kick return. It's the same shoulder he hurt last season by running over Eagles K David Akers.

S/special teams ace Pat Watkins rolled his left ankle in the first half, but he continued playing and doesn't expect to miss any practice time. "I'm trying not to show any weakness," he said.

stanback cant seem to healthy at all-its a shame .I dont know if scandrick is the answer at kick returner.

It sounds like what Stanback had was a subluxation, not a dislocation... that's where the shoulder pops out of the socket, and pops right back in on its own... once you've had one of those, you're subject to them the rest of your life...

Yes, this is the voice of experience speaking... believe it or not, every time I hurt mine, it was on a golf course... subluxations hurt like hades when they happen, and are sore for a few hours afterward, but they're really not all that big a deal... some NFL players had long careers in spite of this condition, my understanding is there is a kind of harness that can support the shoulder...

I think you are right-I think wade said it popped right back in.hopefully he will ready for the opener as we need him to be our KR because Wade is not going to let Felix do it.

That's what I based my amateur diagnosis on...

We can put Jenkins back there with Scandrick.

Think his injury will push the "sign Joe Horn" folk?
