When MM won the SB with GB, they went through many injuries. I think they had over 10 guys on IR (don’t recall the exact number).

So— with all the bad news regarding injuries— MM has been able to navigate this kind of adversity before and get the job done.

Injuries suck when they happen obviously. But they also force the team to continuously overcome challenges together and work as a team in new and innovative ways.

Good point. I do remember they led the league with players on IR and won the Super Bowl. If they didn’t lead the league they were close to it. Something like 10 players on IR. It was ridiculous. So McCarthy is well versed in dealing with adversity.

I knew someone would come up with a silver lining thread. There’s no silver lining to losing one of your best players. He was part of the reason why our defense has been so good so far. If we lose another key defensive player, we’re going to unravel. It’s starting to look like we’re going be ravaged by injuries this season. It started in training camp and it hasn’t let up.

The only silver lining is it happened two weeks before the schedule ramps up. It gives the team time to see if anyone in house can step up or if they need to look elsewhere. Regardless the situation sucks.
Casey Hayward needs signed now. Was drafted by McCarthy

Sucks. Yes it does. The NFLs top defense and best pass protection unit took a hit, it happens. Yesterday's Cowboys had 2 certifiable lockdown corners. Today they have one.
But I think now DC Quinn does the coaching job of his career and meets the moment. Opponents the next 16 weeks may overlook this defense at their peril.

Much rather the injuries be now instead of later, like last season. Haven’t had our bye week yet either.

Injuries are part of the game, every year for every team. It is what it is. Seems like every other team in the league has RB injuries or issues with that position this year. If we’re good enough, we’re good enough. Enjoy the ride at any rate.
