Dez got a deep thigh bruise following the punt return. Then he became very dehydrated and received an I.V. So he was very limited following the first quarter.

With all the secondary injuries, I think the team was a little slow at pulling the plug on Dez with some of the other receivers.

Who cares about Bennett. He should not see the field again this year. Phillips is better. He catches everything and is not dumb.

I had a deep thigh bruise when I played and was back on the field in two days. Of course, let's not kid ourselves. I was a finely tuned 175 lb beast. Dez???

I will actually go on the record and say that I'm not too sure we actually need to get Newman back right away. The young guys stepped up in a huge way. Jenkins looks in Pro Bowl form, Scandrick was great until he sprained his ankle, and McCann is a gamer. Even Alan Ball was in position more then 80% of the time. Not a bad showing by the secondary.

If anything, though, we need Newman back because we're looking a little thin at CB. I think Sensabaugh is the weak link in the secondary now.

If everyone were healthy I would agree with you about Newman. But as you said, Scandrick sprained his ankle, and of course Jenkins got injured about 27 times during the game last night, so we need the depth.

The Jets' game plan seemed to change about the time that injuries to the Dallas corners appeared in the second quarter. Scandrick was taken from the game completely, and Jenkins retained shoulder problems. The Jet offense then gave the game to Sanchez. They then started to attack the secondary/linebackers in the passing game. That well may have been the actual point of change in this game. Before that final first half drive and score, Dallas was controlling a combined attack by the Jets.

I thought the DBs actually played pretty well. Outside of the missed tackle from Ball on LT's screen pass, no bad plays really stand out.

The Jets hurt us using their TEs and LT in the passing game. They had 180 of their passing yds.
