Irvin but a young LArry Allen a close second.

Has to be Irvin or Deion, on this particular team, probably Irvin.

On any other team, Deion. Heck, I might start Pacman and TNew, put Deion on the outside in the nickel, and play Deion most of the time on offense.

Drugs aside, you got to have Hollywood Henderson!

He was a bad mother (shut your mouth)!

;)

since Irvin's been picked so many times i'll say Bob Hayes since it's a need and i never got to see him play

Michael Irvin,
How bout 2 players? If that was the case I would add Deion.

How many has said Irvin so far?

That's Chuck Howley btw, not Randy White. Howley, a borderline Hall of Famer, would still be a solid choice.

How anyone could pick a former Cowboy other than Emmitt is beyond me. Nothing but a winner and the heart and soul of the 90's dynasty. Second would be Aikman/Staubach, and third would be Larry Allen. As much as I love Randy White and Bob Lilly, etc., I just don't think those guys would be as good in today's game due to the size issues. Randy White dominated as a DT, but at 265 lbs. or so, he'd have trouble against 330 pounders today.

Emmitt Smith not even close. The great Cowboy teams were always running teams that happened to pass. Both Emmitt and Tony D. are in the top 10 in rushing yet Michael is not in the top 10 in receptions, yards, and reception TDS. And we have no QB in the All time list for completions, passing yards, and passing TDS

I guess the issue is how much better is Emmitt than Barber/Jones combo. Sure he is a great runner but I don't know he adds a huge amount of value here.

OTOH, we clearly lack a good #2WR opposite TO. Michael Irvin >>> Patrick Crayton and this dumps Crayton to #3WR and Crayton >> Hurd. So now you have greatly improved two positions by adding one player.

I pick Irvin and by a wide margin. Mike brought something that hasn't been on the team since he retired. Just an unmatched desire and passion. I remember seeing him on the sidelines after the injury and he was more intense and more in-tune with what was going on than some of the guys on the field. Wanted the ball every single down and if he was on this team right now injecting that same sort of energy, desire and will to win, I don't think there would be many days were Dallas came up short on the scoreboard.
