linehan made the adjustments he needed to make last week.
ever since the Vikings teams have been stacking in the middle against us.

last week we ran and 4 wide and moved Dak around using the entire field. we will do the same to the Giants and absolutely trash them.

We didn't get to 12-2 by being scared of anyone. A little context from the NY game. A slippery cold night with ice on the ground is not the game I would be afraid of. Imagine a nice comfortable game in the warm confines of the AT&T stadium.

We still lost to the NYG in the warm confines of ATT Stadium

I thought it was interesting that the only team to go 14-2 in the regular season and lose to the same team twice was the 1999 Jacksonville Jaguars. They lost to the Tennessee Titans twice that year.

They got the bye and home field, but it wasn't guaranteed until week 17.

The Jaguars beat the heck out of the Dolphins in the divisional round to the tune of 62-7! All seemed well, until they faced off against the Titans in the NFC Champ game and lost 33-14. The Titans went on to the Super Bowl.

There is no guarantee that this could happen again, but it does dispel the prevailing view that it is nearly impossible to beat the same team three times in a season.

It does make me nervous about facing the Giants again.

More often than not, the team who won the first 2 meetings also wins the 3rd. The media tries to make it seem like the opposite is true.

This is a historic season for us in many ways. Let's not let this team's success be predicated on the team's previous failures, and certainly not the failures of an entirely different team.

You can learn from the past and complacency played a big part in the failure of the 2007 team and a few players including Patrick Crayton thought that team became complacent. Once they beat the Packers the team began to lose it's focus and relaxed looking ahead to the playoffs. Everyone was putting us in the SB and it went to the heads of the players and we began to slump. Teams learn from their history and if something has been successful in the past they stick with the same formula. If mistakes were made that cost a previous team they make a conscious effort not to repeat the same mistakes. Wade was a soft head coach who coddled his players and didn't know how to prepare a team for the playoffs.

We still have two games to go and need to go out and play to win those games and not look ahead to the playoffs. If we're not focused and ready to play against Detroit who will need that game they could end up embarrassing us. No need for us to help their playoff chances because we may have to play them again and they could end up knocking us off. We can't afford to get sloppy in these last two games or we'll lose them both and limp into the playoffs. You can't just flip a switch in the playoffs you're either playing well or you're not.
