WR Derrick Mason: They (the refs) trash talked to us the whole game. I've never seen anything like it.

Samari Rolle: He (Referee McKinally?) Called me "boy" the whole game. That's why we were so mad last night. You don't call a grown man "boy". It's disrespectful. He won't strap on a helmet and call me "boy". (McKinally is black just for the record)

I am just going to take a wild guess here..... I am guessing that the Ravens started the name calling or instigating with the ref's.

I could be wrong... because I wouldnt put it past the ref's to get brazen with the players.... but I am guessing thats not the case....

'Hey Boy!... Hey Boy!.... you looking mighty cute in those tight black uni's" - (Eddie Murphy's Mr. T impression):lmao2:

you can take this with a grain of salt, or you can see what might be hidden inside what i'm about to say - but 3 years ago when i was consulting with an entertainment attorney, he said one of his jobs was to drop off the script for the game to the appropriate people. a cowboys game, that is. while he'd never come out and say it the implication was that a bulk of the games, or at least the important ones are scripted to a degree.

sure you want to think bullshyte. but hey - are the pats really that good? they seem to have critical calls always go in their favor. if random luck of the draw fine, but that doesn't happen 100% of the time, does it?

and the steelers beating the seahawks in the superbowl...how many people felt there was something 'up' there? most of us did at the time.

we blow it off because we don't want to be paranoid but it does make you wonder.

You cannot see gravity.... but it IS there.

you're a ref - an impartial judge to the game. getting involved on that level wouldn't be something i'd think they should do regardless of what a player does. if 1 ref did it that's bad enough. if *all* refs are smack-talking, i wonder why.

like i said, that's just what i was told, people will like most things, take it how they want to. the other option is he was lying to me but since he was my consultant for 3-4 months on several matters, he never came across as someone who would lie or kid around like that.

gravity? you mean i've been wearing these suction shoes all my life for NOTHING???

yeah im not really buying that story...if he was telling the truth it would be a much bigger deal than just saying in the passing oh i got to go drop off the scripts for an NFL game the way you made it sound....so im betting he was lying or mispoke

depends on how many are involved and to what degree. if it were a league wide thing we'd know cause you can't stop former players from talking about it. so it has to be "if at all" a small minority at most easy to control and keep quiet.

i doubt it's every game. who the hell would care about scripting something like atlanta at miami this year? but if you have a key ref each game...

i don't think he was lying, i just don't think he could or would tell me the whole story. he did say however we were 3-5 years off from winning it again.

things that make you go hmmm...

I was once a big fan of the NBA but I can't even watch their games anymore because of the systematic favoritism of the NBA superstar officiating. It gets to the point where a reasonable fan has to wonder if the "superstar" is a product of their play or the referees.

If this indeed happened the NFL needs to deal with it, if they take the path of the NBA they are making a huge mistake......

I share the same disdain for both officiating and the collusion there increasingly appears to be with the 'leagues'...Anytime billions of dollars are at stake, particularly in gambling, the system of refereeing has to be heavily scrutinized.

It gets harder and harder to watch many of these sporting events as result, for the same reasons...not the least of which is the NBA and DWades FT tallies

I don't trust the refs. The Pgh-Seattle superbowl was fixed by certain refs. Bettis was going to get his ring in his hometown. I heard one of the refs even lives in Pgh (the one who called the offensive PI on the Seahawk WR to nullify a TD).

You can tell when the fix is in: holding calls, offensive or defensive. Seattle was ready to take the lead and here comes a holding call to take it back. Judgement call. Unreviewable. Ravens defensive holding on 4th down. Ticky-tack. You can call it on any play.

Even happens in college a lot more. WV refs literally tried to steal the game vs Pitt with two! phantom holding calls last week! Blatant cheating. Thank God for instant replay and great camerawork to expose these fraud refs.

The NFL tries to hide the cheating by silencing the coaches and players with fines. No free speech in the NFL! The only way to stop the ref cheating is to allow penalties to be reviewable by instant replay.

Who do you think the NFL is? Owners make up who and what the NFL is and there is no way that these owners are putting together a fixed product. I agree there were some bad calls in that game but I don't think this is a big conspiracy by the NFL owners, they risk way to much by having games fixed and I don't see them losing everything they so that Bettis could get a ring? Multi Billion Dollar business I don't think the NFL is that stupid

16-0 gets more viewers and ad revenue than 11-1.

Viewers = Money.

Money = $$$!!

It doesn't have to be all owners. It could be a single one.

I had a very good friend, his dad was a bookie. He had known I was a Cowboy fan and told me not to get my hopes up, the Cowboys and the steelers were meeting in their first superbowl matchup. This man told me that the Boys would lose, he even told me what the score would be. He was right on both counts. He told me the games were fixed.

Many owners are involved in many different aspects of the game including Jerry Jones, I seriously doubt Jerry would not know about cheating going on in the NFL as I would doubt many other owners would not know. I don't think the Pats are getting a free ride I think we have fans who allow their emotions to dictate their thought process. There is very little to gain by allowing cheating yet a hell of a lot to lose then talking about the Billions the NFL is worth. The money you are talking of is chump change you are talking about is nothing compared to the overall money that the NFL generates and they are not going to risk it for the Pats, Steelers or any other single team or player

So why would you watch the NFL if it is nothing but a fixed product where winners were predetermined? By the way Dallas cover the point spread in that 1st meeting with the Steelers and Cowboy fans who were betting won that day despite the fact Dallas lost by 4

Morning After, Rolle Still Upset with RefsBALTIMORE -- The NFL is looking into an accusation made by Baltimore Ravens cornerback Samari Rolle that an official called him a "boy" during Monday's night's 27-24 loss to New England.

"The refs called me a boy. No. 110 called me a boy," Rolle said in the locker room after the game. "I will be calling my agent in the morning and sending my complaint. I have a wife and three kids. Don't call me a boy. Don't call me a boy on the field during a game because I said, 'You've never played football before.' "

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Tuesday the league is looking in to the situation.

No. 110 is head linesman Phil McKinnely, a former player for three NFL teams during the 1970s and '80s. McKinnely, who played collegiately at UCLA, is black, as is Rolle.

ESPN.com's Mike Sando and John Clayton contributed to this report.

Hey, Rolle. Shut your hole. The head linesman should not be calling him boy and Rolle should not be telling the guy that he never played football.

How is that relevant? If the ref were white would it be ok to call Rolle "Boy"? If Rolle were white would it be ok for a black ref to call him "Boy"?

It's wrong no matter what combination you use.
