 Haley would have been throwing helmets, punching walls etc. Irvin and Erik Williams would have reacted as leaders as well, as you state, with anger, not disappointment.

Swagger.................does not exist at this juncture, with these players.

and that team's all pro QB would have never took off for Mexico for a few days before the playoffs either...nor would that team's coach have allowed such non sense

The attitude and the swagger and the kill instinct all begin and end with the HC.

I really don't see many here holding Wade accountable. And they should.

Wade has perhaps the best-stocked team in the NFL right now.

Anything short of a Super Bowl appearance will be cause to elevate Garrett.
It's tough to realize we have a coach cupcake. He also gets a free pass since the D fell apart and it was their first year with him. Excuses, excuses, excuses.

Most importantly Jerry doesn't hold Wade accountable, nor did he Tuna (who had zero swagger, he had them playing like scared wimps). He also doesn't hold accountable our ANTI-LEADERS like Roy/Ellis (whom he gave hostage bonus to just a few months ago).

What a silly thing to say.

Funny how we survived without "leaders" right through the Green Bay game. Between TO, Crayton and Barber, there's plenty of "attitude" on offense. Romo's no shrinking violet either. Bradie is probably the most vocal guy on defense. Wade? An amiable if uninspiring journeyman who was too busy yawning in crappy commercials. Until proven otherwise, I tend to believe that a bum thumb, twisted ankle, wrapped up division, and a red-hot Giants team were our undoing.

Last year I cared and had expectations and watched them fail as usual in late November, December and January. I knew they would be likely to fail as usual but still got my panties in a wad because they didn't play up to their skill level.

This year I will no longer care whether they win or lose any games. I will watch the games because I like football but will not care who wins or loses or who makes good plays, if anyone. I will no longer allow it to affect my life in any meaningful way nor will I have any expectations one way or another except that this year I expect my panties to stay nice and smooth and comfortable.

Yeah, I know it's a copout but I don't care.

I'm pretty sure at this point, about 1,500 of your 1,700 posts are telling us about how little you have emotionally invested in this team because you just don't care anymore, out on the prairie.

I think we've got it now. ;)

Yeah thats what I was saying. I saw a squad that got better and was shutting down drive after drvie at the end of the season. You can look at those 4 plays to end the first half against the Giants but outside of that we were good, real good.

Bravo. I've never really paid much attention to Baldinger before. His bent finger freaks me out..have you guys seen that thing...it sticks out 90 degrees from the knuckle. Anyway, I couldn't agree more. Thanks for posting that.

I sure hope they figure out the post-Thanksgiving portion of the season. There was magic in the air in the Green Bay game, but it was downhill from there. I was at the Detroit game a week later and although we came from behind to win, making our record 12-1 (wow 12-1), it just didn't feel right. I couldn't pinpoint it, but they simply tanked from that point forward. It's a miracle that they won in Carolina.

And I made a thread stating my concerns, and got flamed by 90% of the posters here for being a chicken little.

Not trying to pat my back, but I was right, and some of us fans need to be objectionable enough to see this team w/o homer glasses on.

you miss the Giants playoff game right after our 10 minute drive before the half.

skins (4 TD TO game) almost beat us with a D+ level QB. GB after #4 was KO'd we collapsed... along with our season (we thought we won something there).

wake up.

One drive, where they picked on Jacques Reeves unmercifully, is indicative of fading? Did you happen to tune in later during that same game when that same defense stopped the eventual super bowl champions on four straight drives, only to be failed by our offense?

I think you need some perspective.

perspective... of a homer.

"failed by our offense"... another excuse. You should email that to Wade

I don't think you're quite square on the meaning of "excuse". I hear they're teaching remedial English down at the community college - might be time for a brush up.

Our defense man'd up in that playoff game. Our offense couldn't take the heat - for the second straight year. It's hard to tell why. I'll let you take care of the "excuses".

Did you watch the Philly or Carolina game to end the season? did you watch the second half of the Giants game where our D gave the offense multiple chances to win it?

Tony Romo was awful down the stretch. His thumb killed his accuracy and he threw way too many picks because of it. Despite thie the defense still put us in positions to win the game.

excuses-r-us should be your tag.

10 minute drive erased in 30 seconds (by a QB most here argued is the 3rd best QB in the division.). A bad comedy act.

ps - philly (no LJ) & carolina's offense were bad and worse more excuses.

Yeah, I think Romo's thumb was bothering him way more than he admitted.

That pass which flew 15 feet over T.O.'s head in the Giants game was the proof I needed. That's an instinct throw where you just let it go nice and easy. Such a simple pass, but because he let up on the grip just a little the ball flew up and out of play.

I have a dictionary, if you need it.

Let me know.

Our offense averaged almost 29 ppg last season, and scored 14 in the playoff game. Our defense surrendered 20.3 ppg on the season, and allowed 21 in the playoff game.

Again - let me know when you figure out which unit faded.

great job posting guys, maybe if we can in some way get this stuff to some players on the team, and maybe a few coaches their eyes will be open and they wil take heed this year to be more aggressive in december and january

was some real nice posts replies i read guys, thanks for the feedback

its like on dallas morning news sports cowboys section, Jerry Jones has done all he can now, I think like the last 2 years he has paid or going to pay out 190 million over a period of time,

its time for the players to appreciate that, work hard, study more, do the dirty work that you have to do in practices late and after hours study films, etc,

just time now for guys like Greg Ellis, Flozell Adams, Gurode, Leonard Davis, Tank Johnson, Newman, Romo, Barber, Witten, T O, Zach Thomas to step up, become leaders and kick you know what this year, have that hunger and swagger like when Jimmy Johnson was with the Cowboys
