Stats can be shaped to be misleading.

Rice had 49 TDs, 4,881 yards on 264 receptions in his first 4 seasons.

And younger guys like Josh Gordon and AJ Green will most likely join that group.

But still very impressive start to Dez's career.

dez is only the second to meet all three but after 4 years moss had 5,300 yards and 53 TDs

I had to read the stats twice but now see your point, Didn't get to 275 receptions (overrated stat anyway) Rice is Rice, only a skewed fan wouldn't acknowledge his greatness (even during the Irvin era;)) JG, please turn this production into wins, please? The Vikes were a perennial contender with Moss, we go 8-8? This is why Linehan was brought in (frankly) Stats are fun n stuff, but how about throwing to your 1 out of the slot a few plays, change up his routes, "see to it" that he is open by play structure? I know it hurts your dome (JG) but other teams would make the playoffs, easily.

I think it is more a testament to his past three years, only 45 receptions for 500 yards year 1

That's not even remotely close to what was said. Why purposely try to start trouble?
Weren't you at one time a moderator on this board?

Seems to me this is exactly the type of stuff the board owner is trying to get away from in that stickied post.

Trust me, they aren't trying to get away from any of it.

The poster edited his post after my sarcastic response.

The post you quoted didn't have anything inflammatory towards Dez. Or could he edit that, too?

Just seems strange that a former mod would be trying to stir up trouble from absolutely nothing. Sour grapes, perhaps?

I'm not stupid, I can read. And I've seen it mentioned before that you were once a mod.

And what does it matter how many posts I have? I've been reading here for well over a year.

I've been here a lot longer than you. Check your tone, sir or ma'am.

Chill out homey, he is just being sarcastic. Cas loves him some Dez?

Perennial contender? They never even went to the Super Bowl.

I don't really disagree with your point though.

Stats would be so much more impressive if he didn't have to stop and wait for the ball or play CB so often...

Yeah that Giants playoff game put that fire out tbh. Just meant competitive and made the playoffs, etc.

It's skewed some, but that's still a very cool stat that shows Dez is a rare talent. In fairness to Moss though, he didn't have one of the GOATs throwing him the rock like Dez does.

You made a good point about stats and then gave a good example by giving Josh Gordon the 2 more years and 26 td's he needed to get there while playing in Cleveland no less.
