Interesting Felix Jones stats

People want to claim he only had success due to DMC wearing down the defense, well to those people what do you think MBIII does? Felix is going to be very effective for us and am happy with the selection.

Funny but accurate imho.

We drafted a guy who was one of the best in the history of the ncaa in exactly the role we see for him here.

Felix will be on the field WITH MBIII same as he was with DMac.

It's quite ironic that supposedly intelligent writers such as JJT and Hate use the knock on Jerry that we drafted the better backup when in fact we drafted the guy that can DO MORE THAN JUST BE THE BACKUP.

People were crawling all over themselves to draft Reggie Bush who was a slightly less explosive college player than Felix Jones and also was part of a TB rotation. Now that move is a dumb one? Makes zero sense.

Dallas' offensive lineup now has flexibility it did not have prior to the draft.

Is this your opinion, or are there others (scouts, analysts, etc.) that share that view?

200 + all purpose yardage tend to lead me to believe this.

Excellent post, thanks.

I think that if Barber and Jones stay healthy this year they will both thrive under Garrett. I think that Jones was the right pick for our team, He proved plenty that impressed me during his time in the SEC. Him being a razorback probably had nothing to do with Jerry making that selection other than he probably saw a bunch of games in person.

I remember watching Arkansas games the last 2 years watching for McFadden and being fooled because Jones was in there with almost the same speed and moves. I think he was the right move even with Mendenhall and Johnson on the board.

So basically, this is your opinion. That 200 was against mostly CUSA foes and that conference is total joke on defense. I should know, I'm a UCF alumni and watched both he and Kevin Smith put up equally ridiculous numbers on those juco level defenders. Felix played against the best in college football, so his YPC should be something to take notice of.
