Interesting ....got my attention
Now lets get him some players
Now lets get him some players
most likely he likes the smaller DT's so it is what it is, maybe we finally get rid of Mazi lolI really hope he has something figured for Micha. Are we going to devalue the DT spot with a 290lb players
Just curious how he stops the run
When he was in Chicago he ran more of a cover 3
He did but as Colts DC, he had a top 10 run defense couple of years. We should keep in mind sometimes coordinators don't have the desired players and are forced to work with what they have. The results/lack thereof falls on them overlooking the role of the head coach and/or GM. Think Zimm ......this seasonI really hope he has something figured for Micha. It isn't much the size of the players that is the problem as it is the quality of the players. If you are going to be a smaller DT, you've got to have the ability to get off blocks to stop the run. We've had so-so DTs, so if they are smaller, they haven't been able to regularly do that. Our bigger ones have been nothing more than big, so offensive linemen can handle that as well. We need quality no matter the size of the DT.I really hope he has something figured for Micha. Are we going to devalue the DT spot with a 290lb players

Something to keep in mind........ask yourself which positions are now missing starters due to free agency. By my count, we 6 open starting positions. The questions are how to fill......draft, free agency, backups.I wonder if he will target a high level safety and linebacker early on? I still think DT remains the biggest defensive need even if Osa resigns.
Slot corner, but Diggs is expected to miss time into next season. So Slot and Outside corner. A versatile corner like Texas Barron makes sense can play both inside/outside.Something to keep in mind........ask yourself which positions are now missing starters due to free agency. Just mentioned him in another post.......A versatile corner like Texas Barron makes sense can play both inside/outside
Agreed. CB arguably right up there with biggest need. I could see is going dt s cb top 3 picks easilyI wonder if he will target a high level safety and linebacker early on? I still think DT remains the biggest defensive need even if Osa resigns.
Problem is, they have offensive needs as well and if management continues to not use fa, you can only do so much in a draft class.Agreed. CB arguably right up there with biggest need. I could see is going dt s cb top 3 picks easily
They are going to have to fill some needs prior to the draft, you can only do so much when you have needs on both sides of the football.Just mentioned him in another post.......
Also.....would be hard to pass on Will Johnson if he is there at 12 there appear to be 4-5 solid CBs who could start day one.

Better be extra special safety if you are taken that high. I like him, but I don't see that type of talent.I keep wondering if Malaki Starks is in play for Dallas. That’d be a sneaky, unexpected first round pick.
And a home run, imo. He would immediately become the best safety we’ve had in like, 3 decades.
Sometimes you have to cook with what’s in the kitchen lol I just hope we add a solid DT. I hope Jerry doesn’t bet on drafting one. They are hard to draft. Sign a solid DT in FA abd if one does fall in your lap, take him tooHe did but as Colts DC, he had a top 10 run defense couple of years.
