This is one of the reasons why i think Aikman was a good but no great QB.

He had a really good line which helped him alot. Just look how he wasn't able to carry the team when he played behind a line that was good to average (after age and FA ripped it apart).

I am not saying he wasn't a good one but he by far is not the player most of the people think he is. Just my opinion.

I though John Phillips did a very good job for us but Bennett is a poor blocker.

For all of your posts you sure don't know how to judge blocking. Bennett is actually a GREAT BLOCKER PROVEN by the fact that whn he is in the game we average more yards per play than when anyone else is in. Sheesh. Sheer hatred.

This seems to be kind of dumb quote. Of course you can get by with an average guy at any position if everyone around him is really good. There's no one position that is the lock to having success if there were everyone would draft that position like crazy.

I think anyone who's spent any time watching football can see the difference a great LT can make for an offense. Ask Matt Hasselback if you look any better as a qb with a great LT like Walter Jones. Or Marc Bulger and Orlando Pace. Both guys careers essentially ended when their big LT's either deteriorated or left town.

Bottom line is, you want the best player possible at every position and the Left Tackle (with a right handed qb) is more important than most.

If they think Brewster is a current backup RT/potential longterm answer at RT, then I think you're going to be flipping out, because it seems obvious they're not drafting a left tackle high.

Why would they "Think" their draft pick wasn't a possible option? They obviously saw something in him in the 1st place when they drafted him but he got injured and basically lost a whole year which actually sets him back from somebody fresh out of the playing field. To not draft a top talent tackle would be foolish and anybody who can't see that is either oblivious to how good Romo makes this o-line look or is just being argumentative.

Except it was at RT and you cant just assume hed be better at LT, even w/ his potential.

You said so yourself in another post that Free gave up a bunch of pressure and that the one sack only was misleading. I'm just not convinced yet that he's the man for the left side and I want insurance. We haven't seen him consistently shut down the best of the best for a full season and imo he doesn't have the strength to do it for a full season. We are gonna find out soon enough..
