Since so many out of towners on this board are experts on why us local fans suck, I would like to add Chris Samuels comments to the list of compliments paid to the TS crowd by opposing players....

"That crowd was so loud I didn't hear a thing all day. Playing in that hostile environment, Jason was amazing," said Commanders tackle Chris Samuels of Campbell

Good for the TS crowd!

Did anyone hear the Jets crowd when they would yell J E T S, Jets, Jets, Jets!

It was extremely loud!

It was pretty obvious on TV that they were loud for this game, even when we were on offense and Romo was trying to call audibles, nice work.

There have certainly been games when the crowd was just there to watch football and that was about it, though, so let's not pretend one game means everyone else is wrong.

And for the record, just because someone doesn't live in Texas doesn't mean they've never been to Texas stadium. Believe it or not, you don't know someone's history just from where the "Location" tag says on the forum.

I'm pretty sure they went the whole game w/o a false start penalty too

the only unforced errors were all by our C (and Adams, who had one FS)

And Adams was standing up to hear Tony's audible... he just did so abruptly and got called.

lol....werd.

The crowd was loud. VERY loud. And typically stupid. The noise during offensive series needs to stop.

never said I did. It is always out of towners who make the texas stadium sucks threads and says the local fans are all wine and cheese sippers who dont know anything and dont cheer loud enough.

and for most of the people who make those threads they have a sample size of 1 or 2 games.

Maybe when the new stadium is opened Jerry can use the huge video screen to educate the fans.

Stupid huh. Try attending a game and realizing why that happens.

For some reason on the first series when we are on offense every home game the crowd gets excited and people are not cheering it is more like a loud chatter of anticipation, sounds silly but it is true.

and the other thing is yesterday for instance, the large number of Commanders fans in the lower and upper endzone on the end opposite the players tunnel started chanting defense repeatedly when we had the ball, in turn cowboys fans were booing and standing up cheering lets go cowboys in unison to shut them up.

We are not stupid. For instance I never make any noise when we are on offense, and I rarely see anyone in my section make noise. For some reason the first series and the first redzone trip bring this anticipation and it gets the fans standing up and just creating this buzz, particularly this year.

Don't take the "stupid" comment as an affront to your personal football IQ.

Do you agree that the stadium is overly loud when the Cowboys are on offense?

If you don't agree, then we can't have a conversation about it. When the offense huddles, breaks the huddle and sets up at the line, you quiet down. Once the play is over, go freaking nuts. The Dallas crowd doesn't seem to understand that, and I don't know why.

I think 90% of them DO understand that. But what most non-Dallas people don't understand is that the other team has fans there as well. When they run their mouth, the Dallas fan react. Jeez, you guys from out of town would complain to high heaven if while we were on offense all you heard was Redstinks fans yelling "D-fense!". For the home crowd, it's a no win situation with some people.

How difficult is it to understand that shouting down Skins fans only adds to the noise? Sometimes when we were on offense, the noise was unreal and Tony and the team were having trouble communicating. That's inexcusable IMO and not just the result of 10k ******** Skins fans who got tickets.

yes it is, more this year than years past, and I think I tried to explain the reasons to you.

You have to be in the stadium to understand. yesterday the small group that was making noise were doing it to drown out the skins defense chat.........now that doesnt make it right, but if they didnt wouldnt you be sitting here saying Dallas fans are weak because we let other fans cheer in our stadium?

and it is only a few series and it seems to be the same ones each week, the first series, the first time we get to the redzone and the goalline and late in the game. And again I think the reason for this is the overwhelming anticipation, I never see people standing up and clapping or cheering, it is like a low roar of anticipation, it is not a thunderous roar.

Does it need to stop, yep. Is it going to, I dont think so. and you want to know why I dont think it will, because each week alot of people come from all over the country to watch these guys, who gets the loudest ovations? The three players are owens, ware and the loudest ROMO. So when he comes out for the first series etc....the fans who dont see him alot are all excited.

I never hear the season ticket holders in my section or the two sections around me making any noise when we are on offense, but I always see the people who come to one game all excited when they see Romo and owens. And on top of that sometimes romo will make a big throw to Owens or witten right out of the gates like yesterday and people stand up and get loud after the play but they just dont quiet down soon enough and it builds this buzz for the next play.

If you were in the stadium I am confident you would understand what I am saying, does it need to quiet down however yep....Do I think it will, nope.

Wait till the packers game when there are 10,000 packers fans there next week, they will make noise when we are on offense and our fans will drown them out making noise. Its stupid, but that is what happens.

Those are good enough answers for me.

I would think they could keep their mouths shut and just let the stupid Skins fans (who aren't enough to be heard on TV) run their mouths - at least that doesnt affect the offense.

I agree. I dont care what opposing fans do during the game. If we play well they all shut up and leave about the third quarter anyway.

Some fans just hate it if a Commander fan is waiving a skins flag and yelling Dallas sucks two feet in front of their face!! Go figure. Then you get the noise. Its an enigma. It wont stop though, not with this offense this year, especially with the large number of packer fans expected at the stadium next thursday.

If we are losing to the pack next week I can see the stadium being on the edge of embarrassing.
