Thompson: You held up amazingly well, because as I drilled down on your statistics, quarterbacks completed 56.6 percent of their passes against you, but for only 12.8 yards per catch and seven touchdowns allowed. Another cornerback who allowed a comparable 56.3 percent completion rate was Denver's Dre' Bly, a player in this league I think a lot of guys have respect for. He allowed 15 yards per catch and ten touchdowns, and he only had to defend 87 passes compared to your 122. I don't think fans are giving you the respect you deserve in some cases.
Reeves: [laughs] Wow, I never looked at it that way, that's interesting.

Thought I'd share....

You are bad, but congrats you aren't the worst.

I wouldn't mind keeping him. But I don't want him to be #3

That interviewer needs to be slapped for trying to make him think he's anything other than stink.

Denver's problem is their D-line. No matter how good your secondary is, they'll be completed on with a lame pass rush. Our pass rush is fine.

I'd keep him as the 4th CB, but can he blitz as well as Nate Jones? I'd keep Jones if the answer is no...

That's probably his optimum position-- 4th CB. He just doesn't react fast enough to be a 3rd CB or better.

Why?

The guy is horrible, I will physically get sick if I have to watch him line up over Toomer next year.

As far as his yards per catch being decent.....that what happens when you give 15 yard cushions. Somebody needs to tell Reeves the object is to prevent the receiver from catching the ball, not line up 15 yards back and come up and make a tackle after the ball has been caught for an 8 yard gain.

So, according to their stats, Reeves allowed 69 catches on 122 attempts, for 884 yards and seven touchdowns. That's pretty bad. And Bly allowed 49 catches on 87 attempts, for 735 yards and 10 touchdowns. That's really bad.

Congrats, Jacques! You weren't as bad as Bly was this season!

I'll say it again, I can't wait until he is cut.

As soon as QB's step to the line they look for him for a reason.

This is exactly why you keep him next year. Why not, you played him, he got a year's worth of experience to then let him go. I think he might turn out ok...

I didn't watch many Denver games but Im pretty sure Bly wasn't placed 12 yards off the line and told to not give up anything big.

Reeves is not worth a roster spot. Any player in the league should be able to stand 12 yards off the line and not give up big plays.

You may not beat him deep but you can have a 10-15 yard out any time you want.

Granted part of it was the scheme but part was also the fact that Reeves couldn't do anything else.

Ill be happy to see someone else in his spot next year.

I've said the same thing.

If we can get a hometown deal bring him back.

I dont think the guy has reached his ceiling and can still grow as a player.
