Wade Phillips currently has a 74-51 regular season record, for a .592 winning percentage. If he goes 12-4 this season, he'll have a 82-53 regular season record, for a winning percentage of .607

Tom Landry's career winning percentage... .607

Yes, yes, I know. Landry had a .556 playoff record (not to mention he coached 418 freakin' games) and Phillips is 0-4. I'm not trying to make any point here, just pointing to an interesting oddity that is in contradiction to what a lot of people say about him. (and btw, I'm still in favor of replacing him after this season )

12-4 would be awesome.

Our schedule is so tough and we have so many penalties that I doubt we could pull off 12-4.

Poor comparison. Not even apples to oranges.

:laugh2: Most revered in Cowboys history ,hall of fame coach versus Wade? Come on, get serious.

Yeah but if we win the SB this year as a Wild card team he will have a 0.556 playoff record too.

WoW what a coincidence. I think this is a sign - really!

The point: If Wade goes 12-4, it will be exactly .607 to Landry's .607

You typo'd...I'm certain you were trying to type "improbable"?

He can never be compared realistically with Landry. He doesn't have the time in grade for it. But if he won 2 SBs as an overall coach then opinions would have to change some. He has a good chance to do that this year.

I really don't have much faith that Phillips will win a super bowl. But I've been wrong about stuff before.

Don't worry. The "I Don't Care / ________ Sucks" contingent will make a point where done previously existed.
