IDK, to be honest, I don't recall ever seeing any hate toward Pollard, but plenty toward Zeke. So IF I were to label someone as fans of a player over the team, I'd have to say it was more likely the ones who act like Pollard is the answer to everything. He's a very good player in our system, but so is Zeke. People need to start realizing they're best when they complement each other.

first thanks for a respectful reply! We need more of that unless someone just joking around etc. same with the other gentleman in just replied to.

For me, just for me, I’ve always felt he was wildly overrated. I pointed out with a worse line demarco Murray had a way better year than zeke’s best but i never heard the adulation for him that zeke had recorded.

i think the team is best when pollard is playing and we upgrade zeke. I didn’t think we missed a single best the games zeke was out - did you?

anyway enjoy the game man - and have a good one!

TP is great BUT those claorng for more snaps and to Be "featured" have no clue on the dynamic of the type of back he is and keeping him fresh. Hes the most dangerous in this split rotation.. trying to turn him into a 25+ carry game back where hes in on 40+ snaps with blocking and routes, not his style.

Keeping his fresh is in the best ion trust of TP, zeke, and the team.

We definitely need a rotation. Even with Zeke we need a rotation because Zeke is far removed from what he was. Just because he can handle a huge workload doesn’t mean what he is doing is good for the team.

Zekes been very average for awhile now and is looking the best he has in awhile because Pollard has decreased his workload.

Even Zeke understands that the team is better right now with less of him.

Not much. Teams don’t value RBs.

If it were me I’d be looking at Achane from Texas A&M over giving up a lot for Pollard.

This i don’t get, i can’t recall anyone saying Tony need 25 carries. I think it’s more yeah to his touches to 15+ but just replace Zeke with another back.

i agree pounding pollard makes little sense

Fwiw i think Murray in prime was at least as good as prime zeke - i think he had like 500 more yards in his best year with an inferior line (think Martin was a rookie, Frederick was still ascending)
he was a beast of blocker, physical, fast, etc so similar

Nah... Murray never had vision. He was a good player but Joseph Randle was right and Murray left a ton of big plays on the field.

Prime Zeke had everything including top end speed that is long gone.

Its working just stop the clamoring for it to be changed to a different scenario has good rhythm with both backs subbing in and its working. Fans as if they think the Coaches dont have clue but fans somehew are smarter..
Ive seen CMac and Kamara type backs decline when they got paid adn their teams made them the heavy carry backs. Injury's , less chunk plays, less burst. TP is the type of back who benefits from an even spilt system.

What do any of those guys have to do with Tony Pollard?

It’s as dumb as me pointing out Demarco Murray or Marion Barber.

Such a stupid thought from some of you.

How about look at the individual player and how unconsciously good he is right now.

He’s been our best RB for 2 1/2 years now.

The comparison to other Cowboys is so lazy and it’s literally because Pollard wears the same laundry as those guys. That’s all they have in common as players.

I have given Tony awesome credit so you need to shut your stupid pie hole.

The point was that usually our #2s flame out. THAT is a fact. Get over it.

Tony is proving he is...so far..an exception. He's getting PLENTY of credit and kudos and cheering on. YOU making it something else....just so you can look cool and tough on the internet message board....is "LAZY"!

When he assumes the true #1 role....with all the responsibilities of that.... you can gloat over your false lies to your little dear hearts content.

Zeke hater.

Even the staunchest of Zeke proponents would have to admit he isn't capable of these plays. That said, are those plays important enough to warrant a huge payday, or do other factors need to be considered? We've seen him get worn down (understandably) during a big yardage day, so I don't know if he could get the lion's share of runs without it taking a toll over the course of a season. I think he's best as a complementary RB, and not the bell cow type.

I'm all for trying to keep him, and paying him well for it, but I don't want the team to get trapped in another bad contract.

Personally I would suggest Dallas move on from Zeke by way of trading him for draft picks, re-sign Pollard to a respectable but not Zeke like contract, and partner Pollard with a decent thumper type RB to keep him fresh while the other RB bangs down the defense.

no its crying, these threads want zeke to get like 5-10 caries and move him out of the way and IMHO thats a mistake!

they've been split the carries all year and TP has now been getting nearly all the carry's he needs the last 5 weeks. he does not need to be featured, its been working well all year and KM and MM have this rotation humming.

He hates zeke ...so he's making up stupid narratives.

Just let Tony get paid and watch "fans" like catch turn on him right quick.

Zeke hate,...just to act like they know it all.

Keep doing what we're doing now. They are both flourishing. This play one against the other shows how STUPID egomaniac fans can be.

reading just his posts today, he feels this offense wouldn't change if Rush stayed the starter with TP as the lead back.. LOL that some true blind hate for certain players.. Our offense has been great since daks returned and yes since the Coaches gave Pollard larger role.. its helping Zeke as well..

KM for the most part is getting these players in with the right pays at the right time. if its not broke well..

This is why people get upset with Zeke.

It’s clear Tony Pollard is what is best for this team. Last year the team forced a 1 legged Zeke to play the majority of snaps when Pollard was an electric runner for us.

Ezekiel Elliot’s contract has been a higher priority than the team and that frustration gets taken out on Elliot.

He’s a really good compliment to Pollard but Pollard is the guy who can jump start our offense.
You are so silly you don't know Tony was hurt too?

Even so....it wasn;t zeke that played himself. Take your zeke hate out on KM and MM...if you were half as smart as you think you are.

And the contract? .... take your "frustrations" out on JERRY. LOL.....

I liked Rush coming in...he did phenomenal beating some of those good teams...with help of course.

...but there's no DOUBT...we're a better offense with Dak. We just have to come out strong early...stay in our game...and we can beat anyone.

If they can get decent compensation for Zeke, I agree. I'm not sure how much other teams value him, except maybe teams who are near the bottom, in which case they'd probably prefer to use a draft pick for a stud RB, or maybe a team who feels like he's the missing piece, but I don't know if there are any in that position... except maybe...I can't even say the word.........Eag.....Eag.....No, I won't!

But, I do agree with you that it's time to replace Zeke, if we can get a good thumper.

why?? actually, Zeke played every bit as good as Pollard, you blind both had almost identical scrimmage yards. if you cant see Zeke is as important as Pollard , well it obvious you are total hater.

Im actually for jt too. Maybe go to a team that appreciates him. We can end this nonsense....until the next scapegoat pops up for the tough guys to hste.
