Romo completes 25 passes per Int.

Weeden completes 17 passes per Int.

Stats are garbage...I go by the eye test. Romo can have 2 interceptions off receiver running a bad route or Witten having to elevate more than 2 inch and tips the ball to the corner. Those 2 interceptions don't mean jack squat to me. By the way I appreciate the stats, I just don't care for them that's all.

If the stats are close then I agree with a big enough sample size you get some value from looking at the stats. The wacky type plays tend to average out with a sufficient sample size.

Well, if you can show where a QB was successful/unsuccessful on 3rd downs where they were passing situations only, then yes.

However, how is it on the QB if the team fails on a 3rd down conversion where they decided to run the ball?

I didn't say it was his fault but in most situations the QB has the option to choose to pass or run the ball. He's a field General...

Weeden's problem wasn't that he threw a lot of INTs because he didn't. His problem was that he also didn't do much of anything else with his greatest deficiencies being in the "anything remotely positive" column.

Generally, you're in great shape with a QB who throws only 10 INTs per season, which is what Weeden would project to throw based on 3+ games and only 2 INTs.

Unfortunately, you're all but screwed with a QB who throws just 10 TDs in a season regardless of how few INTs he may throw

The point of the thread was that some fans/media were speculating that Cassel might be more INT prone than Weed. I just wanted to show the actual stats for comparison. As a Cowboys Weed's problem was definitely not INTs, it was everything else. Yes, he threw some INTs but that was primarily in desperation time.
