Their album covers were just as much a treat as their music, I always looked forward to the next Derek Riggs painting, whether it was the full album or one of the singles. Run To The Hills was a favorite.
IMO Derek is a genius and several works are real masterpiece...Powerslave cover for example and the singles Aces High, or also Flight of Icarus...but it is very hard to mak a choice...Anyway, I like also his way to put always symbols (for example the black cat :) ) in the various cover and we enjoyed to find them in every new record...Try to search some of them in Somewhere in time cover...one of the best

I love their musical version of Samuel Taylor Coleridge's Rime of the Ancient Mariner. It is a stunning interpretation.


I may make myself sound old, but the just don't make metal like they used to. My favorite Maiden song is "Wasted Years".

On a different note, I saw Roger Waters in Dallas in May. That was awesome...
