I read Mr. Jones stated that with Romo the Cowboys are not rebuilding.

Then, I read Mr. Jones states that the Coach does not have to make the playoffs to keep his job.

What?

If we are not rebuilding because of ROMO at QB, then shouldn't we expect to at the very least make a playoff run next year?

I must be stupid--I don't get it Zoners.

Ummm...youre the one still proudly sporting a sig pic with the idiot...o_O

Stop buying into what's said, buy into what's done.

After 25 years of Jerry and some still havent caught on . . . . . . . . . . . . . what Jerry SAYS doesnt matter all that much. For the most part its meaningless. Yet, we have a myriad of posters here who live and die on everything the babbling rambler mumbles out, and actually pay attention to it.

so i should hang my hat on what jerry does instead of what he says
now thats a scary thought

Jerry Jones predicting a playoff run would crash the stock market so I hope he doesn't do that but it's still early. I think your just hearing more of him defending the 2 guys that have the most control over the team.

I dunno. There could be a circumstance in which we improve but still don't make the playoffs.

Arizona went 10-6 this year but missed the playoffs.

Edit: Not to mention. You don't really want to speak in absolutes when regarding the future of someone important to your organization... at least not publicly.

Jerry Jones: trolling America since 1989.

of course they are not rebuilding, I entirely agree with that sentiment....if we had orton as our only qb, then yes, I would say a rebuild is imminent...but, the offense, if healthy, should be pretty good...they are re-tooling the defense and if/when that is done, the playoff run ensues....I think the cowboys, if healthy across the board, make the playoffs ESPECIALLY if the draftees contribute like we all want them to do...

Stop buying into what's said, buy into what's done. If he extends Garrett's contract then those who don't like JG can complain.

The thought of that guy getting a contract extension just makes me think about not supporting this team much at all anymore.

I would still watch but I wouldn't have to know every detail about the team or even catch every game.

Im evolving into more of a Fantasy Football fan anyways because the Cowboys do nothing but anger me as a fan.

And loving every minute of it

You'd almost think he considers the Cowboys one of these

You guys think you are confused by his logic now wait til he pulls the trigger on Johnny Football at 16. It is looking more and more like he will be there.

He's made recent statements that have contradicted themselves, now if the outcome were positive on the field then I would pay it no mind.
The problem is that he make statements that make it sound like he has no clue, and the product on the field mirror that. So listening to Jerry does matter because, like it or not, he is a true reflection of this organization.

I am shocked at this point you are surprised by the jerry double speak. its been 18+ years of this. this is the norm.

What does he have to lose by saying it??? We missed how playoffs in how many years?
