Jerry just said he loaded up last year to make a run. That tells you all you need to know about his GM abilities, in case the last 15+years weren't obvious enough.

I read Mr. Jones stated that with Romo the Cowboys are not rebuilding.

Then, I read Mr. Jones states that the Coach does not have to make the playoffs to keep his job.

What?

If we are not rebuilding because of ROMO at QB, then shouldn't we expect to at the very least make a playoff run next year?

I must be stupid--I don't get it Zoners.

If Jerry says one thing he means the opposite. Last year he said Cowboys stadium would not be renamed. Not even a month later we got the attached news.

As far as Garrett is concerned I think Jerry has had it with switching coaches. I had a theory that if you stuck with a decent coach he had no choice to win over time. I think Jerry is going to stick with Garrett until he wins and unless there is a 2 or 3 win season we are going to so that vision play out.

Logic equals dollars in this case.

Totally agree. I must say I would welcome the pick if Donald, Barr and the big three tackles are gone. Long term it would probably be in the best interest of the team. Nothing holds a franchise back more than not having a Qb and Romo's back is def a concern.

It's about entertainment...not winning.

Its about Jerrah being comfortable with his HC..

like he was in the beginning with Jimster.

He has that with Garrett.

Never had that with Parcells or Phillips.

Relax.

Garrett is here for 5 years minimum.

It would instantly become more fodder for the media to ridicule him with and become bulletin board material for division rivals. He usually shares some kinda positive outlook or expectation that gets translated to hype are delusional thinking by the same ol people doing it to make money on TV and internet. It's just March give it some time.

I don't care. I want to get back to "three inch headlines".

We have talked the talk for years. Let's walk the walk. Fear no media.

After 25 years of Jerry and some still havent caught on . . . . . . . . . . . . . what Jerry SAYS doesnt matter all that much. For the most part its meaningless. Yet, we have a myriad of posters here who live and die on everything the babbling rambler mumbles out, and actually pay attention to it.

Exactly. Remember when there was absolutely no chance Wade Phillips would be fired mid-season? Oh snap.

The thought of that guy getting a contract extension just makes me think about not supporting this team much at all anymore.

I would still watch but I wouldn't have to know every detail about the team or even catch every game.

I'm evolving into more of a Fantasy Football fan anyways because the Cowboys do nothing but anger me as a fan.

First, if it is that easy to turn of your fandom, you were probably never a real fan to begin with, so I take it that that was probably a statement of frustration.

Second, you are practically admitting to being a bandwagon fan, because as soon as the team starts doing well again, you will be all in.

I'm as real of a fan as it gets. I'm just going to turn in my die hard badge because I see no hope with Jerry Jones.

Jerry's ego is the #1 priority in Dallas and I am absolutely sick of it.

When the Cowboys winning is actually the #1 priority again then we may have something but right now I've lost all my patience with them.

Crazy, few fans get it, because it makes no sense. We are in the Twilight Zone , not the Cowboys's Zone.o_O

When i read between the lines, Jones says:

We need to rebuild so we are going to trade Romo.
