Irrelevant but interesting

What I noticed was all those guys were on teams that won a playoff game over the last two years.
So, why not put Brandon Jacobs on that list? Atari Bigby? They won playoff games.

Just noting a difference between those high performing (or at least award winning) players and Romo. Obviously it isn't the only criteria.

Obviously, with Eli, it is the only criteria. If his team didn't win the Super Bowl, his name would be scoffed at. That's the nature of the QB position.

Thankfully we have Brad Johnson. He's better than Romo because he has a Super Bowl ring.

Eli won the superbowl. Romo choked again. Eli threw the game winning td in the superbowl. Romo threw the game losing interception in a playoff game. Eli deserves to atleast be on that list.

Maybe you misread the category. It is "Best NFL Player." Not "Most narrowly successful performance in a reputation-redeeming game."

If there is a category for "Best NFL WR", you can try to get David Tyree nominated.

it's best nfl player for last season. he helped win 4 playoff games and the superbowl. he was superbowl mvp. he deserves to atleast be on the list.

the only change i would make is replacing LT with Adrian Peterson. so to answer your question, no he doesn't deserve to be on the list.

I'll just assume that you're replacing LT with Peterson because of Peterson's impressive run in the playoffs. Otherwise, your previous ramblings about Eli Manning's "deserving" to be on the list due to a decent run would seem nonsensical and stupid, no?

I'll be waiting on you to comprehend that. It's sure to be an "Ah-Ha!" moment. Enjoy. :D

i'd put Peterson cause he was a rookie who missed a few games and still rushed for the 2nd most yards and broke a single game rushing record. not to mention he wasn't even starting for the 1st few games.

Bob Sanders, the guy who led all safeties in tackles? Nope. Not the guy.

Led even his team in tackles? Nope.

Led the league in INTs? Nope.

Led the league in PDs? Nope.

Forcing so many fumbles? Nope. Not a single one all season.

Surely the guy did something noteworthy, right?
Yeah, he wasn't a Cowboy.

The better Ware played, the more attrative a candidate Sanders became.

The HOF in microcosm.

Did you not ponder it long enough to get your "Ah-Ha!" moment, or are you just incapable?
