They probably drove off because they knew if they stole Mike's car and got caught that they'd be on the hook for drug possession charges as well. :D

Sorry...but Mike's earned it.

What an idiotic statement... Michael Irvin has paid his dues.

So has Chris Carter but that doesn't stop people from attacking his past when he criticizes the Cowboys.

So how does this work if your not Michael Irvin?

Say it was me in the car those guys flashed the gun at.

What happens next? Are they just showing me the gun for the hell of it? Are they going to rob me? Should I punch it and try to get away?

What's the proper edicate in these situations?

Irvin said he was in his Range Rover, so if it was a not so famous person in a Range Rover; that person would have got robbed or if he punched it, the Range Rover might have bullet holes in it...

Thank God they were Cowboy fans and Mike's OK.

I firmly believe God does watch over Irvin, though not over children worldwide.

Could have been another sad day in Cowboy land. Glad it turned out OK, hope they catch those guys. Maybe if Irvin was good w/ his eyes, he got the plates.

This has Hollywood script written all over it.

A football great motors around town doing good deeds and talking crooks out of doing heinous things.

"The Story of Michael"
Starring Daniel Craig as Michael Irvin, Kenan Thompson as Emmitt Smith and Jason Hervey as Troy Aikman

Overhead shot, camera swings downward from above to a sign that says "Motel, vacancies" and Irvin, in dark shades, is emerging from a room with two female associates.
(music from "I've Got the Hookup" heard softly as Irvin is talking on his cell phone.)
"I was placed on Earth to do good things" he tells his associates as they climb into an SUV to take a ride to do good . . . .

This might take a while. I will repost when I get the gist of the script and screenplay down.

Duck and accelerate...assuming there's not someone stopped in front of you.

Did Irvin give a description of the gunman to the police? Perhaps it'll help finally close the, "Keith Davis-gets-shot-on-his-way-to-church-in-the-middle-of-the-night" case. Just think. Another cold case solved. Oh well...

When I first read this I thought wow he's so blessed to be alive. And you see how an innocent situation can become deadly. (Now I don't condone it) But now you can see a little why some of these athletes carry extra people with them or some protection

I love how some here are experts at giving advice on how to act when a gun is pointed at you. And how they think he should remember details, note this and note that. Come most of us would just be happy that we were safe and never report it.

For those who dont' listen to his show, he said, he felt like a coward since, he didn't note license number etc. and report to police. He told the story on his show, but he didn't expect all the interviews and hoopla. Man, this thing was on main page of Yahoo today. Anything with Cowboys is big news..

And as usual you can see the jokes about it being some kind of drug deal gone bad etc. Sad really... on how some people are.

I think some people (Mike) take being famous too seriously.

"He's rolling down his windows. Oh he must be a fan of me and must recognize me (through my darkly tinted windows even though it's night time) from my times as a Dallas Cowboy and from my numerous TV and radio gigs (radio?)"

You do know that Michael is well-known to have vanity plates on his car that read "PlyMakr", don't you??
