That's what it says in mine as well. But how you reached the conclusion that, "Jerry Jones is undoubtedly thinking this lends more credence to his selection," is beyond me. You have no facts or statements from Jerry Jones or anybody else close to him that lend any credence to your claim what so ever. It is purely speculation on your part and speculation from a third party does not equal "undoubtedly".

Thank you for your explanation of fact versus opinion and the tedious exercise in nitpicking.

Nine times of ten, what we post here is opinion.

I suppose it makes it better when you apologize at the end.

IMO.

JMO.

This means nothing of course, JHMO.

Carry on.

Having him in the green room with him only makes it more obvious. It was a nicely orchestrated move, however. There is nothing like an obvious example of grandstanding to smooth over what should be a very questionable hire.

I am sure some credit Turner with the fact Irvin was great. That is foolish. But sadly, there are some fans who lack perspective that believe that if he did it with the likes of Aikman, Irvin and Smith, he can do it again with the likes of Romo, Owens and Jones.

Having him in the green room with him only makes it more obvious. It was a nicely orchestrated move, however.

Norv is in Miami to support his brother, Ron, in the Superbowl. Troy said he told Norv to come because he knew it would mean alot to Mike...

I am sure it did.

The hearty handshake meant nothing. It was "coincidence".

The only thing missing was the "We DID IT, WE DID IT, WE DID IT!!!" at the end.

Well I didn't type anything of that nature in my post but keep grasping at straws though. It is clear from your original post that you enjoy doing so.

Opinions are fine except when they are expressed as facts. If it was your opinion that Jerry Jones might view the induction of Irvin into the HOF as an additional positive for hiring Norv (which is laughable), so be it. "Jerry Jones is undoubtedly thinking this lends more credence to his selection," is not a opinion. That is worded as an expressed fact and one that you clearly pulled out of the area just above the cushion on your computer chair. By all means though, keep backtracking. Carmelo Anthony would be proud.

I honestly thought your spin on this Alexander (when I viewed the title of the thread) was that Irvin's election would sorta "make-up" for Bob Hayes not being elected and consequently he would never get in (now).

While that isn't what I meant, I agree. I don't think Hayes will ever get in now.

He has to get by the very crusty veteran committee. They elected Charlie Sanders today.

That's like inducting Todd Heap twenty years from now.

All it does is lend support for the foolish notion that Norv Turner is somehow a great selection as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.

To translate this into norisms=

Irvin + HOF X NT= NT2 = 0 HC

That was a very cheap shot which I am surprised and impressed that you would take.

It saddens me that a fan of luchadore wrestling cannot appreciate my posts. It really hurts me deeply that a cultured person such as yourself isn't impressed. I will try much harder to impress your ilk.

As for it being a big day in Cowboys history, I suppose me saying I was pleased for both Michael and the franchise wasn't enough.

I'll go out on a limb and predict there will be other Cowboys elected to the Hall Of Fame, after Emmitt is automatically elected on his first ballot.

I really don't care if you were pleased or not - him getting into the HOF has nothing to do with Norv ...only a desperate hater would make that connect.

And apparently reading comprehension isn't yours or others strong suit.

He didn't get into the HOF because of Turner and that's right it didn't have anything to do with Norv.

But in Jones' mind, I am sure he rationalizes it does.

And that is my point.
