It was BP's decision to let him go.

If Jerry Jones disagreed, it would have never happened regardless of what Coach Parcells thought of him.

I agree I don't think he wanted anyone bigger and having more influence than him on the team.

this morning with sid rosenberg. I loved the fact that irvin ripped parcells for bringing ex-giants players like jim burt and leonard marshall on the sidelines while never once reaching out to the ex-cowboys. He applauded wade for trying to bring back the family atmosphere to the cowboys.

Irvin is his usual happy go lucky self. Plenty of laughing, can't wait until the hall of fame inductions take place.

Click the link and look for irvin interview, click that and you'll be able to listen.

I'm just glad the NJCM is gone.

I would prefer some of the Dallas players participating in the team, but I can see other former players having value.

Right now there is no reason not to bring in some of these guys like Newton,Irvin,Emmitt and Novacek to help with our new offense.
If we are putting in some of the stuff that Garrett played under with Norv then Irvin and Novacek would be a big help with thier knowledge of how it's done.
And Julius Jones is supposedly going to catch more passes this year ala Emmitt...
Newton could show big Leonard Davis some stuff.
Why not?
As far as Irvin not liking the old Giants coming in, I have no problem with that.
Hearing what Irvin said was like music to my ears. These rivalries run deep and Irvin was the consumate team player. The guy is loyal and he is a Dallas Cowboy for life.
It reminds me of when Rayfield Wright gave that great speech and said "You better believe I am a Dallas Cowboy!". That's pride and that's a great tradition. Pass it on, and show this team what is possible when you play together and win it all.
The Cowboys have and endless wealth of great players to come in and pass it on!

I agree, if this 07 offense will resemble what Zampezee had out there then it would make a lot of sense to get the Greats of the 90's out there to give advise...
