well deserved, because he was truly special and quietly (not in a verbal sense) dominant...

He's the 4th best WR of all time, yet gets snubbed from the HOF two years in a row? Interesting.

Randy, T.O., and Marvin all making appearances certainly speaks to how good the WRs of this era really are.

I think it also has something to do with these new rules putting defenses at a disadvantage, and the mindset of the league has shifted over the years from primarily running to passing.

IMO, the guy who ran the best routes on that list is Steve Largent. What he lacked in speed and size to create separation, he more than made up with almost laser-precision like routes.

cris carter is to low on that list.

I don't think he is too low only because it is a pretty darn good list. He deserves to be on it and #8 ain't too shabby. It would be tough to move him ahead of some of those guys in front of him.

He got screwed not making the HoF this year. The stupid bias against wide receivers is ridiculous.

well i'm glad he was a boy scout and never hurt our image! : )

But he was part of SB winning teams before he became a true problem off the field. And his off field issues may have cost Dallas another SB win.

Pacman was trouble off the field before he even went to college, continued to get in trouble before he ever got drafted and then got in trouble once he hit the league.

Not to cut him slack because he did cause trouble in Dallas, but Irvin was one of the best to play the game. Pacman is not and he has missed a whole season of development. Dallas is not taking a risk to get Deion Sanders, they would be getting Pacman. To me he is not worth the risk. I just don't think he is that good to off set everything else he brings to the table.

I'd put Hutson first -- look at his catches compared to other receivers of his era

Don't know if Mike is 4th best of all time - but it's nice to see him get recognized.

Paul Warfield mistakenly placed behind Randy Moss. Moss is a nice big play receiver, no doubt, but Warfeild was the more complete WR.

Lance Alworth could easily be on this list. He is still 8th all time in receiving yards per game. Every one else in the top ten are guys that started their careers after he was elected to the HoF. Most are guys that started their career's in the last decade.

1. Torry Holt 83.5 yds/g 1999-2007
2. Anquan Boldin 80.3 yds/g 2003-2007
3. Marvin Harrison 79.7 yds/g 1996-2007
4. Randy Moss 79.2 yds/g 1998-2007
5. Chad Johnson 77.5 yds/g 2001-2007
6. Larry Fitzgerald 75.7 yds/g 2004-2007
7. Jerry Rice 75.6 yds/g 1985-2004
8. Terrell Owens 75.5 yds/g 1996-2007
Lance Alworth 75.5 yds/g 1962-1972
10. Michael Irvin 74.9 yds/g 1988-1999
