Irvin Takes Call from Henry

The problem with that logic is that usually occurs when a player is released. Almost immediately that type of thread will pop up the same day...

Call me clueless, but I saw the thread announcing his release, but none saying "we should sign him" and it's been a few days.

I guess we should give it time, huh?

Yes, it was very nice to see that not happen for a change. But I could just feel the flood coming on, maybe I'm wrong, the moment it was mentioned that Irvin talked to him and might interview him. I could just feel the threads coming the moment the guy acted even remotely like he was ready to change.

That was my point. I'm sure Dallas, himself, didn't bring up the thread as a way to say "hey we should get this guy", he was just pointing out that Irvin took a call from him. I could just see though, how something like that, could quickly lead to him becoming the next project Dallas should take on. It's not terribly far fetched to believe that, either, considering the number of emails Mick has already showed at dallascowboys.com with people asking about possibly signing him.

Michael Irvin is a broadcaster now. He should take a call from Chris Henry.

Roger Goodell is the NFL Commissioner. He will do what he has to to discipline Chris Henry.

Why make this more complicated than that?

Absolutely right. Irvin's role is to bring out the information that the press should. Henry has a story. Maybe knowing it could make a difference. I'm not looking to provide sympathy to the guy, but knowing what prompts this kind of behaviour in a guy who has every reason NOT to do it could prevent the next guy from becoming the next King of the Dorks. Or maybe not.....:(

I just hope he didn't waste his "one phone call" calling M. Irvin.

The deal is that those types wait for the dust to settle, for it to get a bit hazy on what these types of guys have done and then come the threads - he is changed - he should get another chance - The Cowboys are the ones that should give it to him.

Pac man was not brought up until recently - you heard nothing when the crap against him was fresh in peoples minds - nobody would have touched him with a 10 ft pole then either.

Michael Irvin is concerned about his journalistic integrity.

Well, good for him.

I think Pacman was brought up when it became known that the Cowboys expressed interest. That's when you got the "Why Not?" crowd.

If the Cowboys expressed interest in Henry, then you may see some others. I doubt it'll come up before then. Especially since nobody knows the outcome of this latest incident...legally or otherwise.

Henery wont be playing for a very, very, very long time after King Goddell gets through with him.

I see at least 1 year, maybe 2 coming for Mr. Henery.

I think you're right.

LMAO @ Irvin and Kiley not wanting to be a "Boystown" radio show.

:lmao2:

That was classic.

The double entendre, check that, triple entendre, was definitely not missed by most I'm sure? ;)
