Is anyone still worried about our 2-2 preseason record?

Our secondary is STILL awful!

Our special teams is still GARBAGE!

Wade just can't discipline his team!

I cringe at Corey Proctor playing a snap!

Did anyone notice TO pouting?

We can't get ANY QB pressure!

Why did we cut Erik Walden?

Spencer's injury is going to kill us!

I never was to start with. Preseason records are completely worthless.

idk...there's no doubt we have flaws..but the league as a whole is very weak this year so even though we're not great, we can still win the superbowl with relative ease IMO.

Sometimes preseason concerns are valid, sometimes they aren't. The problem is, you don't know until it is too late sometimes if your final cuts were mistakes or not. There was a time when the Houston Oilers cut Steve Largent in preseason and the Boys cut Jim Zorn. You just never know.

I remember the Dallas championship days, they had horrible preseason records.

I only 6 at the time but in 1989, didn't Dallas go 4-0 in the preseason only to finish 1-15 in the regular season. I wonder what the casual fans were saying in that memorable August. lol

Funny thread. I wasn't worried and now I'm not worried about our team overall either. Though I do worry prior to every game about someone beating us that I think we should beat. :p

That's right.

And they had a losing record in each of the 3 preseasons they won the Superbowl in the 1990's.

Worrying about pre-season records is just another sign of OCD directed at the (fill in blank with name of favorite pro sports team).
You can harness your OCD tendencies for positive outcomes. Just don't worry so much about things you can't control, like sports teams, let alone what they do in meaningless games. </fallingOnDeafEars>

Only nutjobs were worried about the record. I think it was more the penalties, the overall horrific special teams play, the Romo red-zone INT, etc., that concerned most rational fans. Trends that we hoped would disappear when the season began.

For the most part, despite some early kinks (mainly penalties), I think we've gotten rid of most of the preseason jitters.

Why should anyone be worried about pre-season? It's over and done with. Just like when the playoffs come around I could care less about the regular season. It's win or else. That said I never cared about pre-season. I only watch it to catch a glimps at future players and stuff like that. What ever happened during pre-season has nothing to do with regular season.

Honestly--never was concerned.
I think the once concern (though not a major one for now) is lack of production from our #2 WR. There were questions. I think both Hurd and Austin were starting to show lots of potential in the pre-season (Austin in particular) to be able to maybe be enough of a threat to lessen the load on Witten/Crayton and maybe open them up too.

Austin showed big play ability Sunday. Even w/ saftey help, he stretched the field and made the catch. A key to getting Crayton going could be strong play from our #3 ?
