I'm not sure about him. For such a small guy his speed is average (4.49 at pro day is not great) and his short shuttle of 4.40 is pretty mediocre as was his 3-cone drill of 7.16. I'd be more convinced about him if he put up a short shuttle are 4.0 which is what Welker did.
The other thing about comparing him to Welker is that he is 195 pounds so he is very solid for a 5-9 guy.
I think he may need a year on the PS to work on his routes and get stronger for the pounding he would take making his living over the middle.
I am still much for hopeful for Coale who is bigger (6-0, 200 pounds), a great route runner, has better hands and has elite quickness (short shuttle 4.09, 3-cone 6.65) and good long speed of 4.37 (pro day). He has had the misfortune of the broken foot which has held him out but I still think he is a contributor this year.
With Coale likely getting the #4 spot I'm not sure I like the chances to two small WRs in Harris and Beasley making the roster. I think we would only put one of them on the 53-man roster. I'd much rather put Radway on the roster and hope he regains his 2011 PS form but that may ultimately require another year of training to come back from his injury and he may be stashable on the PS.
Until I see Beasley be successful in games against NFL caliber CBs I'm not convinced.
Our whole WR situation is very fluid right now. I actually wouldn't even count out the dreaded Kevin Ogletree.
