Is Beasley Legit?

I can tell you that covering guys like that can be gut wrenching. Non stop motors and you are constantly trying to stay with them.

I like this guy and his attitude too. We need a receiver like this on our team.

I think his battle is with Harris to make the roster as I think it is unlikely we keep two short, non-speedy slot guys on the roster since Coale can also be used similarly.

The fact that they're playing Beasley not just in the slot, but on the outside, is a telling sign that this kid could really make the team. He seems like a really versatile player who can also return punts.

Austin/Bryant/Holmes/Beasley and then Coale/Harris fighting for one spot

There's no way he's either 5'10 or 175 lbs, lol.
I was saying the same thing. There is no WAY Jackson is 175. I've heard estimates that he's closer to 120.

I mean, he's a twig.

The have him fielding punts as well. Dude will make the team.

I did not see a lot of slot work in that highlight video. I think the only way he is successful in the NFL is in the slot though with his size.

He is not that fast.

I like his ability in the open field.

Probably not, but who knows, maybe he can be like Andrew Hawkins (yes, the guy many people thought should have "won" the Irvin reality show that brought us Jesse Holly) for the Bengals. He's about the same size and had a pretty decent year for them last year.

I hate comparisons to Wes Welker (all white receivers seem to get compared to him just like all white basketball players get compared to Bird).

However, this guy is actually right along those lines. Same stature and skill set....if he can take hits and play in big games like Welker. I really want to see him play this preseason.

Danny Coale is a lot bigger and more physical than Welker, but without the quickness of Welker. That one is a bad comparison.

Anyone else beginning to think Coale and Ogletree don't make the final cut?

I think Coale is a better player than Beasley.

I think both could make it. I don't think Harris or Radway have a chance at all, and I think they'd like to cut Ogletree.

Austin, Dez, Holmes, Coale, Beasley, and maybe Benford.

And there's a strong possibility a veteran free agent will be added, too.

Didn't follow the guy in college at all....was he already nicknamed 'Beastley'? He must have been.

If not, I think it's appropriate to give the nickname to our OTA MVP, don't you guys?

3-cone drill is generally considered the best measure of quickness, and Coale posted a 6.69 at the combine compared to Welker's 7.09 at his pro day. Keep in mind that the best 3-cone posted at the combine since 2006 was 6.42.

It's not enough to say that Coale is quicker than Welker, but I haven't seen any evidence that he's not a really quick player. He looks pretty quick in his highlight videos.

I my have misunderstood. Are you saying Coale is a short non speedy slot type guy or Harris? Cause Coale, at 6 foot and a 4.37, is neither short or slow.
