I’ve always thought while he is the best coach in football, he is also the most classless. Him and his cutoff sweatshirt, going for more scores when already blowing out a team. He further confirmed his classlessness tonight by running off the field with 1 second remaining on the clock. As the head coach of his team, he needs to stay on the field until the end along with his team as a true leader would. I know it’s tough, but you just have to suck it up, take it and stay with your team until the very end, win or lose. Maybe he got what he deserved. One thing we do know, the last play of the Patriots 2007-8 season, their head coach was off the field. Classless.

I think you're right.

He's a genius, but he doesn't "honor" the spirit of the game the way it should be, IMO.

He's probably upset with himself for not kicking a field goal
earlier in the game.Didn't understand that one.

His problem is he thinks he is invicible and never makes an error. He will never even consider he was wrong.

He actually shook his hand before the spike, when everyone was on field.

I'm not shocked by the fact that he left like that. It was pretty much a given he'd do that the moment he shook the hands with 1 second left.

I wish the Giants would have taken a shot into the end zone with :01 on the clock. That would serve him right.

That's what I thought occurred. Thought I missed something.

You see him run off the field with 1 second left? I don't care if he shook Coughlins hand prior to running off or not.

Stay out there, take your medicine you *$*&$&# Hack

The clock actually ran down to zero, he saw that and believed the game was over.

That's all there is to this story.

Not sure about the actual "game" clock, but on TV the game clock was not at zero. Also, the players had to stay out the finish the play, yet the coach didn't know there was time still on the clock? If players are on the field, I would expect the coach to be aware of that on also be out there.

Mike Carey was right there telling him and Coughlin that there was still time on the clock as they were trying to clear the field. This excuse is weak.

I disagree with the genius tag he gets....he was less than 500 as a head coach before he got Brady now hes 80% ......quarterback makes that team what it is........half the coaches in the league could win with that team

Please dude. Don't even. He knew there was time left and he knew it cause he could see that they were putting players back out on the field. Bill just didn't want to be out there.

agreed...that genius head coach went for it on 4 and 13 instead of trying a 49 yard field go that lo and behold would have caused a tie....pure genius!
