superpunk said:This trend in Eagles fans is not exclusive to PT.
They're all obsessed. And they attempt to hide it with lame catch phrases like "He's yours now", and "We hope for the best for you, it's not our problem anymore" and the like.
If you want an interesting read, here's a little doozy. Link
The first is an Eagles fan. spizzunk=me. Feelings summed up in post 30...
And it really isn't necessary for Eagles fans to keep saying "We hope for the best in Dallas, BUT..."
Let's be honest - none of you hope for the best. You hope for the worst. (a) It's Dallas. (b) It's TO, who Eagles fans have to hate, unless they blame their own FO, both are at fault to extents. If Eagles fans did hope for the best, they wouldn't continue coming up with scenarios where TO loses his mind, i.e. BUT.....or, once this happens.... LOL. I know I didn't "hope for the best" when TO went to Philly. I nearly crapped my pants when he caught that TD strike in the preseason against Baltimore.
If you really do hope for the best - more power to you. At the end of the day, no matter how much we like each other, we're still fans, and we hate division rivals, and hope for the worst, most of the time. I'm rambling, but I can't see the need for all the "Oh, we really hope for the best, but IMO, sooner or later, someone's going to fart in the locker room near TO, and all hell is going to break loose." If you hope for the best, or hope it works out, is it really necessary to come up with these doomsday scenarios?

Get over it...TO is coming to Philly to kick your arse this year in a Cowboys Uniform. Deal with it.

Phoenix-Talon said:Well gollly gee whiz ...I would have Never guessed that TO was capable of beating the Philadelphia eagles single-handedly. Never thought he had those intentions ...You sure put me straight!
Here's some of the cast that will be focused on Bledsoe while TO is busy kicking butt ...

Yeah, after all Bill never had to deal with media hype in his two go rounds in NY.
Vintage said:So let me get this straight.
If someone agrees with you, they "have a mind of their own" and "think outside of the box?"
You are getting quite laughable lately.
Phoenix-Talon said:As the Cowboys HC, I'm certain that you guys know Bill Parcells far better than I do. However, I respect Bill Parcells as a future HOF coach. That's why I believe that Bill Parcells is not comfortable (to say the Least) with all of the individual attention ...I Mean, can you spell EXPLOIT-A-TO-N (SIC)?
In past years, Bill Parcells has displayed utter sarcasm, use of strong language, and total frustration resulting in walking out on media questions ...and I say Bill was right most of the times. That said, I've drawn the impression that Bill doesn't relish in too much media coverage about the team; especially if it presents a distraction for the team.
I just wonder how Bill feels about TOs decision to have a "book signing" just prior to training camp opening. I mean you can tell me that it's alrigght because the operant word is "berfore" training camp ...not duriNg. But is that being fair to Bill Parcells. Shouldn't that energy be focused on having a great training camp ...a team effort. We've seen it before, TO Is after one thing ...the benefit of self. A poster on another thread had some real nice pictures of TO ...nothing relevant to the Cowboys.
One more note before I'm thrashed ...I haven't read the good book of TO, but does anyone know whether he thanks the Cowboys, or gives credit to Dallas in any way for believing in him. I have to take my hat off to the Cowboys owner for taking such a huge chance ...but do you really think TO truly appreciates that chance ...and are these series of book signings timely
events?
Just curious to find out how you feel about all this attention ...shouldn't this time be used to establish team ...chemistry?
Vintage said:You know, you are absolutely right.
Between Kearse's 7.5 sacks last year, and Howards 3.5....
We are in quite some trouble. And when you factor in a rookie DT, and a DT that got you 3.5 sacks last year (Patterson), we are just screwed.
Dunno how I missed all of this...

stasheroo said:This is exactly what I think when I see the "Philadelphia Sack Exchange" pictured!
These guys had like 14.5 sacks all last year!
We're supposed to be afraid of that?
Please.
Ware had 8 as a rookie.
Ellis had 8 too.
That's 16 from just two players.
Let Mcnabb be afraid of getting knocked on his fat can again!
Phoenix-Talon said:...too busy reading 2005 stats and not focusing on 2006! No charge!
Vintage said:In all honesty, I do think their pass rush will be improved next year.
However, one pathetic attempt at trolling deserves another, so hence my response with the stats. If he wants to play this little game, I have the time.
Don't know and don't care what Parcells thinks about what Owens is doing. It is all part of everything that goes with bringing Owens and his Circus to town. Parcells should know (as we all should) what Owens is all about and should have known at the time of the signing. He had the option to nix the signing and didn't. If Bill can't stand the heat he should have stayed out of the kitchen.Phoenix-Talon said:As the Cowboys HC, I'm certain that you guys know Bill Parcells far better than I do. The charade was going on far too long.
Yeah, their pass rush will be improved.
From pathetic to merely mediocre.
Like I said, let them be afraid!
