Anyone know if the differences in HDMI cables really matter? For instance some cables are about 20 bucks others are around 90. I'm talking about the same version HDMI cables, but maybe they contain different materials for oxidation ? Anyways, anyone notice a difference between high quality HDMI cables and standard ones?

Doesn't matter one bit unless you're doing really long runs of cable. I buy pretty much all my cables at Monoprice (http://www.monoprice.com/products/subdepartment.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10240) and haven't had a single problem.

All this whole oxidation thing, or Monster Cable is an absolute scam. Once you start talking digital signals, the signal either gets there or it doesn't. Check out Monoprice, you might be shocked at how cheap their cables are compared to the stuff you see in stores. I can't imagine paying retail prices for HDMI or Optical cables.

If you're doing long runs, and I mean like 25+ ft then it might be worth looking at the better quality stuff, but most people only need to go 6 - 10ft.

That's just the crappy small version. The really cool kids, like myself, had the large Voltron that let you put the action figures in each lion. And we had the rare castle as well.

Thats the one I had and it came apart in to Lions. Not sure where that star came from though. I got mine for Christmas in I think 1985.

My nephew now has it, though a tail or two is missing and so is the sword.
