I don't believe I've seen his name mentioned when it comes to QBs we may potentially go after this offseason. There may be a good reason for that, and maybe some here could edify me on that. Is it a foregone conclusion that the Broncos are going to keep him? Is he going to ask for too much? Is he expecting to start this season? Or is he just not that good?

I know that strictly from a numbers standpoint (6'7", 25 years old, 86 career rating, 4 years learning behind Peyton), it looks like he may be primed for a breakout season given the chance. I just don't think he's going to want to be a backup much longer.

How does the Zone feel about this guy?

I think the general consensus is that Denver will lock him up long term...they have no alternative, really, that I know of. If he were to somehow go on the open market, there would be a group of teams looking to sign him as an immediate starter which is something that would not happen in Dallas. He no longer views himself as a backup up, IMO.

why would denver get him, groom him, give him time this last year to play, only to let him go? just don't see that happening unless he's a backup by nature and denver has figured that out. even if so, if/when payton goes, he's their best immediate option.

he's going nowhere i wouldn't think.

Figured that's what the consensus was. I just skimmed through an article that mentioned the possibility of the Broncos and Oswelier parting ways (for some reason) and it got me thinking why there wasn't more talk about him. But I suppose people are grasping for stories this time of year.

Since Osweiler wants $9M+ and a starting job, do you seriously think he is an option for the Cowboys?

This is the second time I've seen Osweiler's name come up with Manning almost sure to retire the Bronco's aren't about to let him go. Osweiler played a big part in their SB season going 5-2 as the starter while Manning was out. If they let him go they won't have a starting QB and will be stuck trying to find a castoff in free agency or will have to draft one. We can forget about him.

The rumor keeps getting floated out there that the browns are interested in him.

I guess they could offer a crazy amount to the Broncos and the Broncos could draft another QB with the Browns pick.

I would imagine the broncos would have to love a QB in the draft this year way more than they like Brock. That or the browns offer up a trade just too good to pass up.

I am sure that no matter what the browns will do, with their history, it will be the wrong move.

What scandal are you talking bout

The 1996 incident involving Peyton, then the star quarterback for the Volunteers, in which he allegedly placed his genitals on athletic trainer Jamie Naughright's head.

That wouldn't stop him from pursuing another ring if you ask me.

So why did that take 20 years to surface
