The rumor keeps getting floated out there that the browns are interested in him.

I guess they could offer a crazy amount to the Broncos and the Broncos could draft another QB with the Browns pick.

I would imagine the broncos would have to love a QB in the draft this year way more than they like Brock. That or the browns offer up a trade just too good to pass up.

I am sure that no matter what the browns will do, with their history, it will be the wrong move.

If the Broncos tag Miller, all the Browns will need to do is out bid Denver for Osweiler

I don't see Peyton retiring, but that's just me.

Peyton is done in Denver as a starter. Os will be starting for the Broncs next season according every major and minor news source in the Rocky Mountains.

Even after his covered up scandal resurfaced? He gone, along with his squeaky clean reputation.

It's the women making the accusation that are sleaze balls.

Let's review the charges...that 20 years ago this (supposedly) happened:
"The Tennessee lawsuit alleges that in 1996, when Manning was the Volunteers' quarterback, he placed his naked genitals on the face of a female athletic trainer while she was examining him for an injury. Manning has denied that he assaulted the trainer, saying instead that he was "mooning" a teammate. Manning was never the subject of a police investigation in the incident."

This is a total smear job based on a mad money grab --possibly also fueled by political hate. And the story is being carried and pushed by lunatic haters.

The runaway lawyer making the charges is suing virtually everyone in the state of Tennessee.

If you doubt me...check out his web site. The guy is like "Better call Saul" Only worse. He brags of the hundreds of millions he's grabbed from this case and the tens of millions he's grabbed on another.

This is the lawyer!

Denver drafted him with the intent for him to be their future.

He's not going anywhere.

He's going to start somewhere, no way he takes another backup gig.

He looked like **** this year. Not interested, and I don't think he should get a starting job. But desperate teams like the Browns might offer him one.

Um they tried to trade him last year for a 5th round pick but the deal fell through. And he hasn't shown anything this year to a) warrant starting QB money and b) show that he can lead this team to the playoffs. Hes gone. Browns or Texans might pick him up, but no way Denver pays him starter money.

I don't believe I've seen his name mentioned when it comes to QBs we may potentially go after this offseason. There may be a good reason for that, and maybe some here could edify me on that. Is it a foregone conclusion that the Broncos are going to keep him? Is he going to ask for too much? Is he expecting to start this season? Or is he just not that good?

I know that strictly from a numbers standpoint (6'7", 25 years old, 86 career rating, 4 years learning behind Peyton), it looks like he may be primed for a breakout season given the chance. I just don't think he's going to want to be a backup much longer.

How does the Zone feel about this guy?

you bring up good point in that Garrett has said many times he is not interested in drafting QB, developing them only to go to other teams. Well this would be perfect opportunity for Garrett to grab QB who somebody else has used draft pick, money and practice time to get ready for your team.

Dave Logan "voice of the Broncos" along with other local radio cohorts. Logan's word is very solid.
The key is Elway since he's obviously very sharp with keeping his team competitive. Elway is not afraid of letting "stars" go since he does not fall in love with any of them. He knows from experience effective QB's are hard to come by. They made a mistake with signing Thomas long term last year and he won't do that again.
He's going to have to pay some players to keep the team competitive but he'll let anyone go or stay to do it.

Good Q. I used to hate the DB, esp. Elway out of spite since every Bronco fan up here hates the Cowboys. Long arguments at the water cooler at work..etc.
Every since Elway took over, I have grown a certain amount of respect for the organization. They got rid of Tebow and a few others who they could have sold tons of seats/jerseys' with and talked Manning into coming to Denver. Also got rid of a very good coach in Fox who was already winning and rebuilt a team around 2 new solid coaches to be even more competitive. Watching how the Broncos and Cowboys organizations work is night and day. Hard not to respect what Denver has done.

Osweiler will get at least 15 million per

So we have one poster saying "[Osweiler] wants at 9M/yr" and another saying he will get "at least 15M per".

It's probably going to fall somewhere in the middle. The guy played well over a small sample, but has yet to be a full time starter in this league. They may put big escalators into his contract or add a condition to be renegotiated after a couple years. I don't think Denver just throws 15 million a year at him though.

Yep, for the Broncos.

A certain "new hire" coach is in love with him and is going to go all out.

Denver's really not in a position to, but a QB needy team that thinks it has the resources to keep building on him? Hmmmmmm
