Isn't that what good offenses do? Perform when they HAVE to?
The way people are acting, it is like this was a pee wee offense that took it to us in the final minutes.
No, it was one of the better offenses in the NFC. I am proud that we held them in check for the majority of the game and gave us that chance to win.
But I guess you give an inch, you take a mile.
I suppose next it will be up to the defense to hold everyone without a touchdown so we can win 10-9.
And vice versa.
No, no Vice versa as you say. I will be the first to admit the offense must perform better that is a given. They were flat out horrible.
I am sorry the defense does not get an A+ and a free pass for letting the Seahawks march down the field when they had to.
If this were a one time thing, I say no big deal.
Look at the Giants last week, the Commanders, and lets not forget the Chargers in week #1. Granted Dallas held on for the Charger win, but the Chargers had four opportunities to get it in there. Yes, I do understand that was the first week of the season.
However, given what they did against San Diego, Washington, New York and now Seattle I think it is a matter of concern.
You can not keep letting teams back in the door when the game is close. Slam the door shut. I guess to overuse a sports cliche I will say "clutch".
I am ready for some clutch defense. I have seen good to great now I am ready for clutch.
Reminds of an old Astros slugger that I remember when I used to live in Houston. I believe his name was Glen Davis. The knock on him was that he would just kill the ball and drive in runs in an impressive manner, that is until the game was on the line and then he tended to fold.
That is not what I want out of the Dallas D.
I too am proud that the Dallas D held them the majority of the game, but I would be doing cartwheels had they held them with two minutes to go to save the game.
I promise you one thing. The offense has already won games for this Dallas D and they will have to do it again and vice versa. This is the NFL sometimes you have to bail out your weak performer that week.
You can rag on the offense all you want, problem is you are preaching to the choir.
