He's slower than Witten, no he's not, he's a great route runner, so what, he's washed up, he's cheap, he's Hurn's money, 1 year, he's a great addition, he's a Beasly replacement, he sucks worse than Beasly, no he doesn't and so on and so on...

I don't think so, but the difference is negligible.

It really won't affect us much I don't think.

But it's for sure an upgrade on what we were going into the season with if we didn't sign him.

You can debate this all night if you wanted.

Healthy Cobb > Healthy Beasley

But all you can say now, is Cobb is on a one year, five million deal. Which will end up costing us less than Beasley would in the long term for an older receiver.

He was hurt last year but he's a great #3 when healthy.

I expect that with Hurns, Austin, and Cobb it suggests that this is not a year we are going to draft a WR --- or more specifically, we might only have a few on our board. We hit with Gallup last year and likely want to see what Wilson can do after a full off-season.

The NFL has spoken with the contracts of both in terms of market value. But market value wasn't value to us.

Beasley was a bad fit for a run first team like us. Should be a 3down player on a pass first team. For us, he's a third down specialist. Austin is a better fit for our base downs to complement Zeke.

Beasley was also a bad fit in just not being viable out wide, so that Dez/Cooper couldn't take the slot.

With what they've got on the roster I wouldn't blame them.
It really opens up opportunity to address the defense in the draft.

Can’t Cobb return punts too?
If so, maybe between the two of him and Austin we can have one competent PR back there all season
