With what they've got on the roster I wouldn't blame them.
It really opens up opportunity to address the defense in the draft.

Problem on this board is people think we are paying Cobb 5 mill and Hurns 4 mill and Austin something like that. Realistically, it is thunderdome for those three and the young guys.

Cobb can do more things than Beasley, he can play outside, he can run some jet sweeps and screen game like a Tavon Austin. Purely from the slot, Beasley is better.

Dak is not your typical 300 yards per game guaranteed passer. There aren't going to be a ton of balls for everyone. What this does do is spreads teams out and allows you to attack mismatches. Hard to put 8 in the box if you can line up a combination of Gallup, Cooper, Cobb, Austin, Witten, etc. I'm not convinced Kellen Moore is ready for his lofty promotion, but he has some tools to work with.

Stephen reading the waiver wire: "Daddy, Randall Cobb is available."
Jerry: "I've heard that name for ages. He must be good by that name! Git him!"

So to all the Beasley fans still struggling with the fact he is gone.

An honest question.

Do you honestly think things would be different and/or better under Moore to the point you would be willing to pay Beasley's price for the chance to find out?

Yeah, I can't them taking all of those salaries beyond training camp.
Hurns is likely the odd man out, IMO.
Maybe Noah Brown, too.

Never know until they play.

I can see Brown taking an extra spot if we cut Rico. He's a great blocker and a biscuit away from being a TE

He is also a niche player.

If what is said about Moore's ideology is true he will soon be out of a job.

Cobb is a better player and much more versatile. His salary and attitude are much better than Beasley, the question is his health.

If you asked before FA started which player you wanted out of these three:

Beasley at 15 Milliion guaranteed
Golden Tate at 23 Million guaranteed
Randall Cobb at 5 Million guaranteed.

The answer would be a slam dunk vote for Cobb.
