1. He's not even a wide receiver; he's a slot receiver, no more....ever.
2. He runs his routes against LBs, safeties, zones, and occasionally a 3rd or 4th string CB.
3. He fills a role, a niche. Dez is a beast vs zone and vs average CBs; unfortunately, he doesn't have the quickness or refinement to his game to be an impact player when covered by the better CBs. He's Keyshaun Johnson without the feel for the game and the defense.
4. If we ever paired Dez with a quick wideout who runs great patterns and wins 1-1 battles, we'd see something very special. Unfortunately, that need is arising quickly due to Dez's age.
Cole Beasley is no where near our best WR though he may be our most productive WR due to the position he plays and the fact that Dez's power and TWill's speed get more respect from defenses.
