Is Dak better than Romo?

dak's advantage over tony is leadership. dak has it, tony never did. he tried late in his career, but couldn't sell it. that's why the team chose to stick with dak in 2016. even tony's invite to his luxury mansion couldn't sway his teammates.

Romo's intelligence in the booth didn't seem to be there when he played. Dak is better than Romo for several reasons. Dak has a better arm and is more accurate throwing deep passes. Dak is more mobile and able to use his feet to make plays. Romo was elusive in the backfield but not fast enough to escape and run for big 1st downs. Dak is more durable so far. Romo was fragile and by the end of his career just about any tackle resulted in a serious injury. Romo may have had an edge in reading defenses.

Romo was a good QB, but not a great QB. Romo was overpaid and overvalued by Jerry. We'll see what Jerry does on the money side with Dak.

Who cares if he is better than Romo? As of right now he is on par with Romo going to put up some great games but it will not matter because coaching and defense will let him down. And the same people crapping on Romo will turn on Dak if the team stays the course of the last 20 years.

i agree with that.

Dak is a natural Leader. Romo never was that. Romo might have better Vision but that came late in his Career.

I cant remember how many games he singlehandedly gave away early in his Career with boneheaded Ints or Sacks in Crunchtime but it was quite a bunch. I can remember only 1-2 Games which was really all on Dak.

Dak has proven this Season that he can beat anyone with his Arm and Vision if the Run is stopped. He has become more complete and will be a better QB than Romo ever was in the next few Seasons. Also he can take big man hits which Romo couldnt.

Leadership, clutch, dual threat.

Personally, I would take Dak 10 times out of 10 over Romo. Its getting to the point where you almost cant say that Romo was the better passer.

I give Romo the edge on pocket awareness, but Dak is getting better at that as well.

I think Romo was a great QB. But everyone has their degree of what GREAT means.

Is he now better than Romo and if not, will he get there?

Lets remember that Romo finally started in his 4th year in the league.

Depends on when you compare them. He's not better than Romo was in 2014 when he put up a 113.2 rating. I'm not sure he's better than Romo when Romo put up a 102.5 rating in 2011. (Romo had 31 TD passes and 10 interceptions that year; Dak has 21 and 9 this year.) Dak does have a higher rating (104.1) than that this year, though.

The good news is that quarterback once again does not seem to be the problem with this team. It's the offensive scheme that goes stale at times and a defense that doesn't seem to be able to ever be good enough when we need it.

Right now, if you could pick one QB to be the QB of your team, who would you take?

Look I’m a big Dak fan and up till the last few years I was not a huge Romo guy. That said Dak has a long way to go but his ceiling potential is higher.

Dak can work on ball placement and pocket presence sometimes but he’s a different qb than Romo and these are different teams

as much as tony ticked me off and didn’t accomplish the ultimate goal to say Dak is better is a reach. Dak is different wiry different intangibles and is improving right before our eyes

they both suffer from the same problems Jones and Garrett and I’ll throw in defensive coordinators also but statistically speaking they look worse on the field than stats show
