A lot of criticism floated around here about Garrett/Linehan. I’m just curious, does anybody here give the coaches credit at all? Has Dak gotten better or have the coaches learned how to win with him his strengths and weaknesses. Is Dak irreplaceable or can the coaches do better with a more talented and more polished QB? Imo I give coaches a lot of credit for handing it off to Zeke and playing it safe with Dak protecting him from being exposed. And still doing a great job. Imo of course.

Dak has been playing better. Still taking too many sacks, however those all are not on him.

I think Dak is getting back to the 2016 playing the than those sacks and some ball protection which has been better lately also.
Seems he is making those decisions a bit quicker. Still needs to work on his foot work, to be more accurate on some throws. But a better QB coach and even an OC can work on that over the off season.

I want to say, I still hope they wait on that contract though, see how he does next season. However, let's see how the post season goes first.

IMO they need to do more rollouts, especially with how poor the line can be at times.
I think his main area of concern is his footwork. He throws off backfoot/improper footing and tries to wing it off pure arm strength. When he can plant his feet or throw on the run he seems to be able to have enough touch on the pass to throw an accurate ball.

Is he getting better? I think so. Just needs to relax a tad in terms of seeing the pressure and making sure he's set before slinging the rock.

Could he be "upgraded" sure. But who is that QB that is better than him that we can attain?
There is no Luck/Brees/Manning(Peyton)/Rodgers etc coming out every year.
I feel he can be good enough for this team to be playoff contenders+.

So with better coaching Dak gets better? No “process” with another HC, OC or QBC? Are we willing to just throw away the growth he has had with Garrett and Linehan? So the progress and the way Dak plays is all 100% on Dak no help? Dak would have been the same QB he is today had he been in another team?

dak is improving. yesterday's performance should have settled that in many people's minds. 3 td's to a te not named witten. great pass to bease to seal the deal. 2 pt conversion to gallup. I heard him say kill, kill more yesterday than ever before in any game. he was directing receivers to specific spots. he was bringing rb's to specific spots to block blitz pickups. the blub's getting brighter. the elevator getting nearer to the top floor. good signs, all.

Yes. He is getting better. Yesterday was all about him since Zeke and the OL all stars were sitting— and Dak not only played his position at a high level— the whole team fed off of him and he led them to a W

People say it was a meaningless game— win when it “matters”. Wrong. Winners play to win every time they hit the field— and Dak showed why he is a winner yesterday.

There is a reason he is 32-16 in his first 3 seasons and has posted more 4th qtr comebacks than any QB since he started playing in the NFL:

Dak is a tough comepititor, a leader, and he is at his best when his team needs him.

Imo he just dosent have the touch to throw consistently from the pocket and into the middle of the field and in between the safety and CB/LB. that takes confidence in you’re arm. That’s not to say he never makes those kinda passes or can’t he just doesn’t do it often. The colts have revived their offense after starting badly like 1-5 or something to that nature, with the “dunk and dunk” offense. I don’t despise the short offensive passing game, I just know there is a lot more to be had on this offense the tape shows it a lot of plays left on the field. And I think with a highly talented QB we can get the train rolling at a higher level. Don’t get me wrong though, we have a shot at becoming a nice offense I was thinking we would be more of a Carolina type offense when they went to super bowl 50. But we just never went that route with the play calling.

Not so much in mine..I have a different opinion on what happened yesterday

I think Dak is improving and understand what he needs to work on. As for coaches what I was hoping to see from the coaches in this game I got. I was not interested in seeing the Cowboys pound the ball all day, I wanted to see Dak air it out and for the offense to focus more on the passing game and they did that. Now comes money time, while I expect Dallas to run vs the seahawks they will need to produce in the passing game as well and if Dak and the offense can do that those 5 and 10 yard runs of Zeke will turn into bigger runs as the defense has to focus more on the passing game.

Looked better in the 4th qtr at Philly to follow it up by 2 stinkers.

Who knows if he is getting better. He has to be willing to throw the ball down the field to make this offense work. He is not the most accurate but he can get the job done. Can't keep having those big overthrows to wide open WR's EVERY week. That has got to stop. Would bet he has done that 15 times this year! 2 yesterday - well the 1 was just terrible not overthrown!

I have been hard on Dak all year. I can say that I do see improvement. Still taking too many sacks and he's missing big throws (but he is now making big throws). He's getting better. What is frustrating is the coaching. Why aren't we moving Dak around more? One of his better abilities is the threat of running the ball. Why aren't we at least designing more plays to get him in space. At least we can wear the defense out by doing this.

What did you think about jarwin performance?

I know this might sound crazy but it would appear that when the OL got better, when they got a true #1 WR, and the TE’s improved, Dak got better.

Did I say get rid of Garrett? No, don't read into and post something I did not say.

I said QB Coach and OC. And yes I stick by that. Just because Dak carried the team yesterday, which was great to see. Does not mean Linehan is the right guy to keep. It does not mean Linehan fixed himself and some of his play calling.

And what has Moore done to help Dak and his mechanics. Nothing. Dak's improvement came from him making better decisions on the field.

If you read I feel like the coaching is better then most portray, whos to say if we let Dak “free” the turnovers and the completion percentage go down?

I think we gave the seahawks something else to think about. If we can run our TE up the seam and make those plays this offense becomes much harder to deal with. I think it was a big confidence builder for Jarwin and helps create a trust with Dak.
