The texans were giving short fields because our offense and special teams acted like the ball had feces on it

thats where their touchdowns came from

and the past two weeks the defense has been less than desirable but theyll get it fixed

I feel like Quinn hasn’t adapted to the fact two of his three top CB’s are out. Why is KJ in man coverage? The Jags obviously targeted him. But no adjustment. Despite the fact we had no pass rush. This loss is on DQ and the D. Offense did more than enough. Hey Micah, wake up!! Hey Tank, wake up!

I mean there are free agents available we can grab who are so much better than Joseph

The Cowboys have allowed 3,20,19, 23, and 40 points over the last 5 games. Lets not overreact here. Everyone had a breakdown after a near loss to Houston last week, and Houston turns right around and almost knocks off KC.

Bad (or good) news is we play 3 somewhat meaningless games to end out the regular season, so if you're expecting a lot of razzle dazzle out of the scheme on defense before the playoffs I have a feeling you'll be disappointed. I'm most just hopeful at this point that we can get Hankins back, the LVE injury isnt a season ender, and the rest of the team stays healthy.

We are already handicap in the secondary due to injuries, if we dont have the horses to stop the run without leaving these DBs 1v1 it's going to get ugly.

Maybe he's gotten as much out of this defense as he can get. We might have deficiencies Quinn has covered up, but as the season nears an end, weaknesses start to get exposed, and that's what I think we're seeing.
Teams are taking advantage our run defense, our undersized DTs, Dak and our vanilla play calling.
That's why I say coaching is vitally important in the playoffs.
And based on our coaching, we're going to get killed in the playoffs.

The way the defense didn’t actually bother to show up this week, as well as last week when the godawful Texans drove up and down the field, and the awful Colts had an almost amazing offensive performance until the last like 5 mins of the game, this is a question that needs to be asked….. is Dan Quinn really all that good? I mean we have been giving up a TON of yards and points lately.

Right now the defense is suffering from injuries and defensive roster isn't deep. LVE, Brown, and Dorrance are huge missing pieces. Kelvin Joseph is now pushed to start, and there is no way scheme around his lack of ability. The Jags saw him as a free pass play all day.

All the Kings horses and all the Kings men couldn’t put Jerry back together again.

Again, free agents. We could get Jenoris Jenkins to run nickle. Joe Haden. Trae Waynes, Tavon Young…

I mean think about it tho, this is a guy who, as a head coach, led a legendary Super Bowl meltdown

I still haven't forgiven him for the near meltdown at AT&T Stadium (Gene picked out all the artwork there). He pulled most of the defensive starters with like 10 minutes left in the 4th quarter. The other team almost came back. I'm trying to remember who it was. I don't think I've ever been that mad after a game. Even after Garrett iced our own kicker.

Our special teams is the sloppiest in the league. There's a penalty almost every single time they take the field.

The spoiled culture is seeping into him. It taints everyone. It’s tainting Diggs. It’s tainting Parsons. Now it’s tainting Quinn. It’s the Cowboys way. Anyone and everyone who touches this team gets the curse.

sure seems like it. I remember in 2016 when dak and zeke were balling. I remember telling my wife that they had a chance to win because they weren’t there long enough to get comfortable with losing. That ship sailed.

Nope. The obvious problem is MM, it appears he works his players too hard in practice. I hope he lightens up this week...

and who schemes for said players? I also notice you’re not talking about this week or the colts
Hmmm… I clearly said outside runs and lack of pressure… that was targeted at todays game. The Colts scored 19 points!

And meltdowns vs Green Bay and Jacksonville....he does just the opposite of what you would think a team would do with a huge lead. He's content in letting a team dink and dunk its way back into ballgames. When we really should be bringing pressure and stomping the life out of teams. Sadly...I don't think Quinn has an answer to stop a team from dinking us to death.

This nonsensical take needs to end. The Cowboys absolutely have addressed DT. They’ve used significant draft capital on it almost every year for years. They brought in Watkins and Hankins. To say they’re not addressing it is just willful ignorance. The issue is WHO they’ve taken and HOW they’ve addressed it.

They've thrown some late rounders and JAGs at the position and call that addressing it .

I had zero faith in the defense to stop the Jags with one time-out left. And the jags easily walked down the field to get in field goal range easily. I am still mad Kearse fought with the TE instead of just grabbing him and putting his weight down to make the tackle or at least slow him down so Barr could help clean the tackle up. I just don't know what he was thinking. Was he just trying to strip the ball instead of making a solid tackle?

He has no linebackers or cornerbacks (except Diggs) amd the run stuffer is injured.

I know none of them are big names but the Cowboys have significant injuries on all levels of the defense.
