Just curious but once teams start losing players for 2-3 games, he could finally get a shot. Not to mention, having worked out with a couple of well-established QBs can't hurt. One thing I think we all can agree....there's no chance of a Cowboy reunion.

Yeah could see him as a replacement for a sick or injured player. Maybe he has a chance to stick if he plays well. However, if he had the talent to perform at a high level he would already be signed. At this point teams may view him as the 4th receiver, but feel any possible distraction wouldn't be worth it.

T.O. was a terrible teammate and locker room cancer but kept getting signed until teams no longer felt his talent level matched the risk.

He was done when he broke his ankle.

I hate how we have this culture of hating our stars past their prime or current stars that have been paid. Dez is arguably the best Cowboys WR of all time, I’ll always have love for him

I agree with the first sentiment, but I couldn't put Dez in my top 3.

I would like to see him get another shot, but doesn't seem like that is going to happen.

I however blame the coaching staff for all those years not making him hone his craft and become a better route runner and overall wr. He was in the league 8 years and had like a 4 route tree lol.
Dez can take half that responsibility. When you are a professional and get top dollar, you should be working on that in the off-season. He realized it like 6 years into his career too late. The wr coaches on staff didn't help though.

As much as I’d love to see dez back, I’m a believer that his stint with the saints was his last shot. It’s a shame an injury ended that, but I fear it also ended his career.

My guess is this COVID gives him a chance as guys drop out/fall sick whatever.
Probably a last chance.

I still think personally he'd be a good h-back type for someone and a more mature person than we saw in Dallas but I have no desire to be unbiased so it is what it is.

Dez been grinding. I've been seeing his workout videos. Problem with Dez is he definitely doesn't have the athleticism now and I don't know if he's improved his technique and route running enough to compensate for the loss of speed and explosiveness.

I think this nails it. He lacks speed and doesn’t have the route running and precision to make up for that. I still think Dez can high point a ball with the best of them. He is also a powerful guy that can catch short routes and run people over. If he didn’t have the past attitude issues somebody would take a look at him.
