what the hell has Felix showed this season that makes you think he SHOULD get the ball more?
Yea, Felix has not impressed me much this year. He is a Reggie Bush type back. Give him screens out of the backfield, but he is not a every down running back. I think Choice might be our best option. I do not think Felix Jones has done much this year when he has gotten the ball.

Felix Jones had no where to run. The run blocking was pathetic. The one time Jones got it going, they pulled him and put Barber back in and punted.

Dallas needs to go to a zone blocking scheme to get the most out of Jones' talent.

Chris Johnson has that advantage.

Put Felix on the Titans, and he becomes a star.

He's sharing the ball with two guys, and the scheme doesn't favor him like a zone blocking scheme would.

I think Felix can run in this scheme, but the zone blocking scheme would create the space for him instead of a bunch of traffic and bodies in a stalemate.

how is he supposed to show anything when he only gets 3-5 carries a game? he's a 1st round pick that gets a handful of touches.

In games like today, where he averages 1 yard per carry and looks like a mongoloid returning kickoffs, you understand why he doesnt get the ball more.

We dont have a number 1 back...

Jones is a scat back IMHO.......but we dont use him properly.

Its a shame because it looks like both backs picked right after Felix are better 3 down backs.

That being said......we dont use him enough and our OL is overrated.....big time....

Where was this post last week when he had 68 yards on 6 carries and barber was still averaging less than 3....yet again. Heck Choice even had 67 yard on 6 carries....yet MBIII was getting the bulk of the carries even last week.

The bust if anybody is MBIII.....

Let me add, if Chris Johnson were here and used as Felix is his results would be much this same. You want to assign blame, start with that sorry excuse for a o-line today and Jason Garret's dumb arse.

Did you see the first few games of the year before he got hurt?

There was also the matter of his 8 ypc last year.

Then he averages 9 ypc this year before he hurts his knee.

The sample size isn't the largest in the world but it is still rare to see for a guy with a few hundred yards rushing.

The guy is a special talent and is more than just a scat back if you have seen the few times they have given him a run up the middle - he has good vision and agility in the hole.

We just need him to get healthy. PCL injuries are not good injuries for a RB. They really effect your ability to plant come to a stop and then change direction. It was a lower grade sprain and he should be full-strength next year. He still does have a lot more explosiveness than Barber and more straight line speed than Choice.

Injuries, thats Felixs thing too. How can you be special when you are a delicate glass flower.

The first thing Mike Holmgren or Mike Shannahan would do, if they took this team over, would be to change the offensive line to a zone blocking scheme. Moreover, Felix Jones would force that move. Those two guys would be drooling over Felix Jones in a zone blocking scheme. He'd be in the Pro Bowl and would take this division over. The offensive line would be built around him.

Romo is taking too many hits with the big line we have now.

Adams would be gone.

I think Gurode can play in it.

I don't know about Leonard Davis.

Free and Kozier could play in it.

Colombo's days would be over.

They would have to be stupid or suicidal to cater to a player as injury prone as felix.

I remember during one of our 5-11 seasons that we used a zone blocking scheme....the players revolted against ol what's his name....used to coach the Bengals then he came here as our OC....can't remember his name.

Our guys are big and strong enough just to run guys over, yet they just aren't getting it done...at least today they didn't....a week ago they did....the first time we played the giants they certainly did.

Like it or not Adams is still one of the best blind side linemen in the NFL....He's not that easy to replace. Heck Columbo isn't even easy to replace.

Exactly! How can you say Felix Jones a bust when he is getting less then 5 touches a game? Lets at least give the guy a chance, MB3 was totally ineffective today and should of been sat down.
