Is Foles now in play to come to Dallas?

A late round draft pick, but we only have the Raiders 6th to offer. Or a trade like a 2017 conditional late round pick. Nothing higher than a 6th or 7th.

Or would we even be interested. say if no QB is there in the 2nd round round for us to take.
Or we make the trade, but can then select a QB in the 4th or even 6th round to develop.

There were rumors that they weren't going to take him.

Goff or Ramsey was supposedly going to be the pick but maybe that was just because they knew teams were trying to jump them.

Right, but you never know we had Weeden and Cassel...........Well, at the time Cassel made sense, but he wasn't the answer obviously.

And I am not saying we should get Foles, was just asking the question. As NFLN was saying that Foles could be possibly traded for a 6th or 7th round pick.

The ideal of drafting a late round QB and developing him is nothing but a fairy tale. Don't waste the draft pick.

as a backup he'd be better than ... well he would be better than someone i'm sure.

The only reasonable way that Foles comes to Dallas is if he is cut, and then it might be a plausible option. We would be absolutely stupid to pay his current contract. If we were to trade for Foles, give up draft compensation to do it, and pay his current salary, then I will be forced to consider changing my view on the Cowboys' organization, and make my first negative post in the Rant Zone.

Well, looks like there will be at least two QBs taken even before the Cowboys pick at #4. Wentz and Goff off the board with only Lynch left of the big 3. Not sure now what they will do. I don't expect the Rams to start the rookie QB, whoever it is. So Foles in LA at least for this year------the guy is overpaid.
