Is Golden Tate the best Wide Receiver in this year's draft?

Tate actually reminds me a little bit of Terry Glenn. Same kind of player, same kind of Skill Set. Tate is going to get much better as he spends more time at WR. He's a strong player with excellent explosion. As he learns the position, I think he's going to be a very good WR.

Actually he reminds me of Austin with his run after catch. Not a bad thing.

I think Bryant is the best WR in this draft but that doesn't mean that he will end up being the best. Tate has some serious skills and he's pretty intelligent. Tate's upside, IMO, is greater then Bryant's but Bryant has more natural ability. If he puts it all together, no question, Bryant is the best but that's a bit of an if IMO.

Explain that? The upside vs natural ability?

I'm guessing you're saying, Dez is physically superior to Tate, but too stupid to excel, whereas Tate is physically inferioir, but much smarter to the point that he would be a better player?

Im the same person that said Chris Johnson was the best of all the running backs in his draft class.

I can see where you might find a similarity there but Austin is 6-3 214 lbs. Tate is 5-11 199 lbs. To me, they are very different receivers. Tate, to me, is very similar to Glenn both physically and with regards to skill set.

He reminds me of Miles in catching the ball and breaking tackles to take it to the house. Golden Tate has a running back body and wide receiver skills.

Oh yeah. I told everybody about Chris Johnson and people thought I was crazy for saying he's that good.

Miles and Tate may not be the same size but they are extremely similar. Austin is just more physically gifted but both play receiver like a RB.

I would not characterize Bryant as stupid, per say. I would say that from a physical standpoint, as it is now, Dez Bryant is clearly the superior physical specimen. I don't see Bryant getting a lot bigger. He's not going to grow and he already checks in at 224. He will probably get stronger but I don't think he can get much bigger then what he already is. His game will improve as he learns how to be an NFL WR but if you look at Tate, I believe his game has much more room for growth, simply because he has only been playing WR for a couple of seasons. There is a great deal for him to still learn and master. He will get bigger and stronger IMO. His body still has room to mature. We don't know how much his game will improve as he gets older but I believe that because of his relative inexperience, his game has more room to grow and improve.

I don't see that. They are completely different players IMO.

Yeah, I probably shouldn't have used the term stupid either. Excuse that.

This both play WR like a RB. I know Miles is tall for RB. I bet Miles played RB in HS or some in college.

Miles Austin has legs of a running back. Tate has the body of a running back and the skills of a receiver that's why it is so hard to tackle him.

Just compare the highlights. Tate does what Thomas and Bryant do but more.

Golden Tate
Dez Bryant
Damaryius Thomas

I don't see him as either Austin or Glenn. I see him as more of a less explosive Steve Smith (from the Panthers).

Austin's game is much stronger IMO. Austin can physically dominate any CB in the league. Tate will not be able to do that. You may watch these players now and see some of the same kinds of things but I think you have to project those things into the NFL and see if they hold water. Tate is only 199 pounds. I don't see him being able to physically impose himself on my DBs in the NFL. He's going to have to use quickness and precise route running, much more then does Miles. If your saying that both players produce RAC yardage, then I would agree with that statement but I don't think they are going to be anywhere near the same kind of players in the NFL. Tate, if successful, will catch everything, learn to be precise as a WR and use quickness to get open. Miles Austin is just going to beat you up and run past you. His game is already proven in the NFL. Tate has yet to establish his. At least, that's how I see it.

He's not quick enough or fast enough to be Steve Smith IMO. I don't know, you could be right but I have not seen those kinds of skills in Tate to this point.

i really believe that Dez bryant will be a star in the nfl,he has potential through the roof.

I don't think he is either. I doubt he ever becomes the player Steve Smith was. I think his build and skill set are similar though. He's a shorter receiver, but he is stockier than most players his size just like Steve Smith. I don't think Tate has elite quickness though, so I think he will have trouble getting separation. I think his speed is fine, but I don't think he's as fast as he timed. I do think he's tough though, and will go over the middle. I also think he will be a good YAC receiver because of his runningback build and toughness.

I see this too.

Dez will be boom or bust, no in between.

You forgot to add that you pimped Chris Johnson in this one.
