Nobody and I mean nobody is worth 2 draft first round picks.......NOBODY..........especially Joey Gallowaste

BTW......Minnesota is still feeling the effects of when Jerry and Jimmy gave them the ole Texas State Bird in the Herschel trade....

P. Manning
C. Palmer
LT
Peppers

I wouldn't have a problem giving two 1st rounders for any of those above.

If Jerry is going to resort back to drafting guys like S. Carver, Ekuban etc.. then he is more then worth it. If they continue to get players like Newman, Roy, Ware and Carpenter then he isnt worth it.

I would trade 2 first round pics and consider where we are drafting this year and hopefully the next its not a bad option for a proven pass rusher. Think about it, would you trade Bobb Carpenter and Marcus Spears in terms of talent level for D. Freeney?

I think Wade Phillips will get this defense going without Dallas giving up 2 1st rd picks to get Freeney. No doubt he is a good player but 2 #1's I think would be a big mistake

Excellent Point! That's actually the main reason why I posted this question. With us picking probably in the mid-to-low 20s for the next two drafts, I figured this would be as good a time as any (if at all) to give up two 1st rounders for someone still young and w/ excellent pass-rushing skills. With BP gone, I'm very worried about JJ drafting players again. Sure, BP had his share of busts, i.e. Skyler Green, Jacob Rodgers, Bruce Thornton, Stephen Peterman, etc. BUT I NEVER want to revisit JJ's past drafts ever again! Maybe it'll be ok w/ Ireland on board BUT I've recently read somewhere that Larry Lacewell is somewhere back on the Ranch?! Somewhere in the very deep corner of my stomach, I'm getting a very small twinge of sickness which I hope doesn't get any worse......THINK POSITIVE, THINK POSITIVE, right?!

JJ past included giving up 2 #1's for a player. Freeney is a very good player but 2 #1's is a lot.

I wouldn't say 2 first rounders, but I'd surely give up a 1st and a 2nd for a guy like that, only if my team wasn't far from being great. If we had a ton of holes, no way I make that deal, but if we have a championship style offense, and a great defense with a player or 2 away, I'd pull the trigger in a heart beat.

All I know is that he just asked the Colts for a lot more money

Still not worth 2 first rounders though..... Then again I only see one player in the NFL who is worht 2 first rounders and he isn't going anywhere and that's LeDainian (sp).

Come on now, Joey Galloway's worth 2 first.
Just ask Jerry.

Why spend big money on Freeney when we could get A. Thomas from the ravens for the same price

What a good point!
I'd much rather have Thomas playing opposite of Ware.
Freeney is blockable 1-on-1 by most Tackles in the league because of his size.

I really do like Dwight Freeney but I don't believe we shouldn't even trade one 1st round off for the guy and pay him a big contract?, no thanks. I feel as if we can't get him from Free Agency it's not use at getting him at all.

Adalius Thomas is a good player BUT I still believe Freeney is the better pass-rusher. As for Freeney being "blockable" 1-on-1, are you sure you're seeing the same things I see? He's consistently being at least double-teamed every time out. Leave a tackle out there 1-on-1 and Freeney would probably get 20 sacks....

Yeah, Freeney would demand big bucks, no doubt. But what would it cost the Cowboys to sign their next two, unproven 1st rounders that we could give up for Freeney?

Proven 27 y.o. pass-rusher V.S. unknown 2007 & 2008 1st rounders
