Is it better for QBs to fall?

If you're a fan of trading down, it's probably better if one of the top QBs makes it to #16.

On the flip side, it makes it less likely that Barr or Donald make it to #16.

I think...
Donald is gone by 10 and Manziel by 5.
I don't think we get a huge run on QBs but expect two to go before our pick.

For me whichever QB of the Bridgewater, Manziel, Bortles triad is still there at 16 should have trade value.
As should a CB/WR. --whp I expect to be purely highest rated guys on board:(

I can see us forced into deciding between Barr and a trade down.

I'd lean to us trading down but Barr is the type of nickel pass rusher we could employ day 1 and still hope for insane upside.
Ware really didn't know what he was doing when we drafted him and that turned out ... alright, lol.

Wish they'd leak to us how many guys we have graded round 1.

Depends if you want to take one or not.

If Bortles or Carr fall, we could probably trade back.

If Manziel falls, well, he'll be a Cowboy.

Legit question.

I'd prefer a shot at one of our primary targets, so having a flood of QBs go early would help.

tough part is guys like Ebron/Mosley/Gilbert/Dennard could fall but not be a positional fit.

I'd personally prefer WR/CB be featured early but it won't:(

If you want a trade down, hope one of the top QBs falls. Think Brady Quinn scenario we he dropped to us and we parlayed him into a first round pick the next season.

Good point.

Don't rule out WR early....3 could easily go before 16. Some are saying >3 now...which I'd have to see to believe.
Also, it would be a total shock if one of either Gilbert or Dennard went < 16.
Starting to think Mosley goes later...but there's a small chance Shazier leaps up there.
Ebron is a wild card.

Rumor has it that Philly has a hard on for OBJ.............they are apparently trying to trade up

Casserly came out with his latest mock and has Dallas trading with the Rams at pick 13 to get Donald ahead of the Bears.

I would love to have Donald, but moving up from 16 to 13 probably cost us our 3rd?

Dam, I hate to give up a 3rd in a deep draft like this.

The big run on QBs will be after #16 unfortunately.
Everyone I wanted has moved their way up the draft board.
There is pretty much 0% chance Donald,Lewen or Barr dropping to us.

If we get wiped on defense, I go offense at 16 if no good trade down presents itself.

Either Zach Martin or Beckham Jr.

I would have to imagine Carolina would have to try to get in that action too if OBJ is getting rated as high as some are suggesting. They have to feel the pressure to get Cam a legit weapon

Maybe we do it, then move back in the second to get better in line with the value for the talent we want in that round, and add a 4th/5th for our trouble. Getting Donald, passing on some second round targets but still getting a player we like, and turning our 3rd into a 5th sounds a lot better to me than not getting either of our top targets in the first round.
